Kate Winslet is a total pill in my book- goes to varied tastes of people that one man's "why is she popular?" is another's "what a hotty"!

discussing it.  A very original film about relationships that most people will want to tlak about shortly after seeing.

I could already have a thread on Kate Winslet alone.  What a fireball.  She has had chosen a couple of not so great roles for her, but anyone who has seen her in "Iris", "Enigma", "Jude", "Heavenly Creatures", or even "Titanic" (poor role for her, but it made her bank, and the nude scene alone made me forget the bad acting until the disaster came along) knows how amazing she can be.

I have heard the movie actually doesn't go in the direction one would assume that it would, so caveat emptor.

I must be the only dumbshit around that thought BEING JOHN MALKOVICH sucked, and I've had a grudge against Charlie Kauffman ever since, but maybe I'll see this one.  I love Kate too even when she's fat.

then KA-BLOOEY!! you see that it is pretty damn emotional after all.

Like I said, everyone see it (ladies too!), and then let's talk.

I thought Winslet's best role was in the Life of David Gale - and considering the movie's focus was exactly the opposite of my political views, it did a good job.
