I mean, how do we know what percentage of TER members have VIP?
I am so surprised that so many girls got 8, 9, or even 10 on their looks. I was always end up disappointed after seeing most of the ladies because their looks don't match the rating. 10 on appearance is explained as "once in lifetime"but some reviewer just give the score to everyone who looks OK. This is just bad for both hobbyist and ladies- it's making people more difficult to choose the ladies they want, and it's unfair to ladies who have looks really worth a high score.
It is very likely that the rating in looks is inflated. Firstly its relative. Your 8 could be easily my 10. Secondly I think most of the times, it is related to the performance. So if the performance of the lady is very good, hobbyists(including this one) tend to give a higher rating on looks too rather than being absolutely objective. So if I think the performance is 9, I may end up ratings her looks too as 9 ( instead of let's say a 7). I have rarely seen ratings like a 6/9 or a 7/10. This is just my theory. I don't have any facts or numbers supporting this.

The above poster mentioned your "8 could easily be his 10." This is a true statement for most , not just in the lifestyle but in life period.

Look at overall picture of the provider you see and that solves the problem.
If you see a provider with 8's and 9's and 10's with some 7's this means she is probably a very pretty girl so you can't loose out but if you see someone with a lot of 2's and like one 8 then maybe you should be cautions.

the very young providers that are more interested in the money than giving a customer their money's worth. Had many reach for the lube. Never happens with the providers north of 30, who have learned to love what they do and get into the moment with their customers. That's why I have said many times that I like the girls in their 30's, not their 20's.

I know of some reviewers who would probably throw up upon seeing this woman, maybe rate her a 5 if they're feeling generous that day. Others might say 6, perhaps 7. I often look back and compare looks of some of the previous providers that I have seen before rating my next reviewed provider. I think that the rating system itself is a bit skewed and some can take offense to a 7 or 8 etc, when they are actually good ratings. I think different cultural upbringings can determine what actually rates a 8, 9 or 10 to some. For example, I can rate a woman who physically looks like a model in some ethnic magazines that I have viewed, a 10, but those who have grown up looking at Playboy will see her differently and vice versa. Bottom line is do as much research as possible about a providers looks before seeing her, and understand that the photos that you see online a doctored up a bit, they are her best representation. Whether you're going to get that look on that day is a crapshoot, but if you are pleased with what you see, then go for it. I have made my mistakes in letting previous reviewers scores dictate me seeing a lady, but you live and you learn and grow in your own decision making.

For there to be inflation, then at one times scores would have been honest, and in the intervening time, moved up.
Scores for looks, and to a lesser extent, performance, have always been higher than the reality and that is because so many reviewers like to be kind in their grading, just like college professors to their students.
I'll confess to doing so myself.

Someobe who has been around as long as you should know this. Your line about scores having to be honest at one time in order to creep up eventually is false. Inflation means the scores have creeped up, period. It doesn't mean that originally they were 100% honest. Being honest has no baring. Sure they may have always been slightly inflated over "real life" scores, but the part about the scores moving up over time is totally proven in TER history. Look at scores from a decade ago or even longer when TER first started. Great providers were getting 7s and 8s and were totally happy with them. 10s were extremely rare even with porn stars and high end hookers. Over the years scores have crept up. It's easy to do simple research and prove that. In fact some of the same ladies who have been around for a decade or more have much higher scores now than they did back then.
Score inflation has always been a problem but I have said many times the Top lists have made it much worse, and the history of the Top lists themselves prove score inflation. When TER first introduced the Top 100, there was no one on there with all 10/10s. Now the Top 5 ladies have all 10/10s. To get intimate Top 100 (national) when it was first introduced a provider needed an 8.something average. Now the person in the number 100 spot has a 9.53 average. No score inflation?? Hah!
It is important to make a distinction between inflated scores, and score inflation.
I maintain that the former has always been the case, and since I have detected no increase in the amount or extent of inflated scores over the ten years or so that I have been an observer of same, then there is no score inflation, which is to say an increase in the extent of inflated scores.

but yes you totally missed the mark about much higher the grades have been inflated since then. Tens are all but meaningless at this point. PS is absolutely correct in this regard. The problem has gotten much worse, but the good news is, "How much worse can it possibly get?"

over 50, most girls under 35 look like 10's, but I try to nevertheless exercise restraint in my scoring, which also suggests as I get older, my scores for looks are likely to go up as the distance between my age and that of the girls I am canoodling with increases.

Eh. I'm perfectly fine with a 7. I think I even have one wayward 6 in my mix.
I'm a bit on the chubby side. I logically don't expect to see 9's and 10's on there. But I still get a lot of 7's and 8's because I have a pretty face... and there is also the attitude factor. If you see a girl with a great attitude.. it tends to often make her "prettier" in your memories as well.
I always find happy people way more attractive than unhappy people. I think a lot of people feel the same way.

if a gal has reasonably accurate photos I could care less what someone else "scores" her.
It's the old pics, +20 lbs ago or descriptions in the review that stretch being nice to ridiculous flattery that hurt everyone.
Case in point, I read a review of a provider who was described by one reviewer as looking like Mila Kunis. He didn't mention it was the without makeup version.
I look at how the Lady is relatively ranked by her reviewers. For the boys who habitually give 10s to most everyone they see, I basically ignore their input.
yourself if she is hot enough for you. Don't just rely on the numerical scores in reviews.
Read the reviews to see if the provider's performance is what you would want to be a part of.
But yes score inflation is real. I would just give an honest assessment. I don't typically review but for me the "appearance" score can certainly slide either way from point of the door opening to when I leave. They arent meat that just stands there, chemistry, attitude, etc all play a part (for me) in an appearance score.... Again for me.
The crappy thing is providers pushing for this or that score, they should be reported, but guys are whipped and afraid so go along to get along. Go with your gut and treat the current scoring system as a bell curve is my advice.

They do sometimes, but really - most people don't see the scores or the top 100 list. If they do have VIP they most likely have an understanding that they should read the actual reviews and read between the lines.

Some ladies are self reviewing for themselves and their provider friends. Some ladies insist on a10 appearance or else the guy will suffer the backlash.
As for the 10's in looks? I definitely don't consider myself a 10. Im really shocked when I get a really high appearance score. It really isn't fair to the ones that are actually that beautiful. I just chalk it up to beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Hell some guys think every ladies is drop dead gorgeous probably because of who they go home to at night. Lots of wives once were 10s to them but have let themselves go to the point that these providers are all a 9 or 10 in appearance.
Who knows what each individual is attracted to really. Every one is different.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I have much fonder memories of a true slut than I do of a cold fish. A woman can easily enter the room as an 8, but leave as a 9 due to the diminished blood level in my brain from mind blowing sex. Conversely, bad service is remembered longer than hot looks, an actual 9 might not be remembered quite so fondly by the time a guy goes to write a review of his time with her if she was kind of meh in the performance department.
Personally, I chalk up all these tens to a combination of review manipulation due to all these stupid "top lists" instituted by TER and the fact that some guys just have no standards and even an old fat broad rates a ten compared to the older, fatter and sexless wives they have at home.
