Good morning everyone!
I’m hoping someone can help me out... I'm planning my first tour to San Diego and l was wondering if anyone can suggest some of the best areas to host in (not specific hotels just areas)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
Have a great weekend xox

Hi & Welcome to America's Finest City!

As a Native San Diegian, here's what I'd recommend. These are areas where you should be able to safely conduct your business and have fun while you're here.

University Town Center/UCSD/La Jolla area. Even though there are a lot of college students there, the lodgings are excellent. Also, there are a lot of great restaurants & shopping places that are conveniently close by.

Del Mar/Solana Beach. Beautiful shoreline views, very luxurious lodgings & amazing restaurants.

Downtown/Gaslamp Quarter. Very touristy. Lots of nightlife. However also very pricy.

The areas that aren't very safe for you to conduct your business affairs would be Mission Valley, Hotel Circle & Sorrento Valley areas. Lots of "LEOs" there, if you know what I mean. (And I'm not talking about the Titanic actor or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle)

I hope that you'll find this helpful & that you'll be able to take some time to enjoy some of what our great city has to offer while you're here!

Aw you're a sweetheart! Thank you so much for your help ❤

I recommend my apartment on Clairemont Dr.

I don't live there. I drive in from South OC. I have found UTC and Mission Valley to be the most freeway-accessible.

have elevators that require keycards for operation. Something to keep in mind along with the parking challenges.

Not much has changed since I posted this some time ago.

Hope you enjoy your visit!

You could spend half of your time in a hotel either downtown or in Hotel Circle. As long as you do screening you don't have to worry about LE.   Personally, I would stay downtown. I believe our tours should be not only profitable but also fun and you can experience San Diego better if you are downtown.

Then you could spend the other half of your time in Carlsbad which would be more accessible for the people in north county and also some people could come from orange county. You could post an ad on the orange county board as well and Carlsbad is not too far from there.  Carlsbad is lovely.

That's what I'd do.
