Removal of sites just adds to the danger

Removing the sites doesn't help anyone. I agree with what was said above by others. We would do better to make it legal, have some way of monitoring health, and everyone enjoying the hobby from both ends of the equation would be better off.  I know of cases in Northern CA. when another site was shut down and women ended up on the street for business.  NOT SO SAFE!

I'd be up for paying a license fee, so that when someone is ripped off, they know who to report to the authorities.  When one of the girls has a problem, she can openly go to the police for help without worry of arrest.  This is just a ridiculous waste of resources for vice to spend time on this!

Not like it's not searchable but there are lots of articles out there.  Here's one.

The industry will never cease to exist. No matter how many sites or sections that are blocked. Escorts will just post on other sites or use other forums what ever that might be. Unacceptable words will change into new words for posting. So the battle over this industry will never be won. Money to fight us will be wasted money. Better is to make the industry more open and cleaner. Not make it more hidden where the bad parts of the industry will flourish.

Great points.  And unfortunately, what the authorities consider to be cleaning up an industry is actually placing these men and women in far more danger.  They don't care about anybody.

My wish is that American politicians would get off their high horse of "American exceptionalism" and look at how England, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium and Germany have addressed this business. Those nations show a variety of different approaches that focus on (a) preventing the abuse of children and adolescents, (b) offering opportunities of education and training for women who want to leave this business  and (c) assuring public health is protected. They accept that this business has existed and will always exist.

Instead, American politicians and the press focus on attempting to censor advertisements, conduct sweeps of women who work on the streets and conduct entrapment of hobbyists. They think that they can eradicate this business - but those efforts over the past 100 years in America have failed.

OMG I just checked.  Too funny!!! Yep everyone is on the dating site pretty much.  I wonder how many millions of dollars the Gov has peed away only to see everyone flock to a different part of the site.

This is what happened when they shut down the erotic section on CL. The ladies just migrated over to the dating section. Now I think it's rife with agency adverts and a few independents. Backpage is doing the same thing.

This game of whack-a-mole cannot be won by the government. It's just an attempt to "appear" to be fighting crime while actually making the real job of fighting crimes like child trafficking, infinitely more difficult to accomplish.

Throw up a road block and the take an alternate route.  So, after thousands of years and thousands of attempts to control and eradicate natural lust we always find a way....

stings and posted by guys named Jack if you get my drift. Seriously, if the girls looked anything like their pics, they would have over a hundred reviews on legitimate sites with real ladies. Many don't even pick up or return messages.  Just provide Jack with some material for self gratification, isn't that right Jack?!

Who the fuck is Jack?

I do agree that many of the ads posted are fake. If I can't find a review or get verification from a trusted source I don't bother. Also most of the legitimate providers who post there post to other sites. If a girl's sole online presence is backpage I keep moving.
