The only way ..

The only way I would do a trade is if was with someone I've been seeing and know well, so he knows what I need in my life. And if the value of said thing matched up with the time we spend based on my hourly rate. But I would not do that with some new guy I've never seen before.

Example, if my laptop died (which is necessary for business) and a regular that I am close with offered a new laptop I would consider it. Honestly, now that I think about it I would prefer the cash so I can find and order the laptop I want rather than let someone else pick it out for me. Maybe that was a bad example :-)

But generally I won't take random gift cards, professional advice (yeah someone tired that once), or services in lieu of cash.

Does anyone participate in trades? Like someone trading something in exchange for a service? To me when my rates of donation are listed that's exactly what I want in cash. If you'd like to bring me something extra that's nice but to me there should be a common knowledge that most if not all providers have their rates listed to be in cash. I don't think that this is a marketplace for bargaining. If you'd like to see someone but can't afford them at the moment shouldn't you either save until you can see them or find someone you can afford

It may not be for you however.

Why would you think that this isn't a place to barter/negotiate?  You're running a business, aren't you?

Who are willing to barter.  I've known providers who barter for dental work, massages, and with dermatologists and plastic surgeons for botox, fillers, laser treatments, and plastic surgery.

As always, you do whatever you feel comfortable doing.  Bartering or not, is a personal choice.

Those services makes sense to be traded for. None of those services are cheap in the least. I'm referring to the Barters for things like small electronics or gift cards. Or the negotiations for 50-200 off your original donation rate. We are in the business of selling intimacy and fantasy and it's not a typical business. Thank you for your point of view I didn't even think of those sorts of trades.

I've done a lot of "trade outs" with people for things other than cash. Way back in the 80's I took a condo in Cancun in lieu of $150,000 dollars cash. The guy offered, he had no cash and I got a lot of value out of the condo, was I supposed to feel insulted because the guy made me an offer?

I have also had guys try to knock millions off of "sticker price" on other deals, sometimes making offers so low that I would doing business at a significant loss if I were to accept and by "significant" I mean a million bucks or more.  Sure, sometimes I feel a bit insulted, but it's part of business, I still don't get why some hookers get all high and fucking mighty about negotiating. If  you are that thin skinned than go work for an agency where you never have to deal with the business end of the business.

Many girls here benefit from trades/negotiations/special arrangements, whatever name you want to call it, just like many other small business civie owners do as well.

And just because a business has their fee listed as cash doesn't mean they wont discuss or entertain other modes of payment.

Why should the providers here stop or not engage in something they feel is in there best interest to do so

Clients should not show up with an item to barter in lieu of cash and that should be a no-brainer.  I've heard of guys showing up with Visa gift cards instead of cash, but that too should not be done.

Anything other than cash should be discussed and agreed upon prior to meeting.

I've gotten some interesting barter offers and requests for alternate forms of payment over the years.  As I don't like to discuss my rates in any way, shape, or form I will usually just delete these messages without responding.  If it's someone I've already screened or met, then I'll reply, but simply to tell him "no thank you".  :-)

It isn't always about being able to "afford" someone's rates; it's about being able to sneak the cash without his SO noticing. ;-)

I'll trade for a BBBJ. If you want my still in the box original Malibu Barbie, it has to be CIMNQNS.

Everyone's different I suppose and it wouldn't hurt to ask if it was something that might be useful like an enormous box of AP lingerie in my size and chosen styles, or a 5 star holiday to Barbados, or a years supply of groceries from Wholefoods 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thank you to all the people who politely PM me or respond to my posts in an adult manner giving genuine perspectives. You are the reasons why I appreciate the board and getting feedback. I post to hear different points of view and to get different opinions.

I will definitely barter accounting services for appointments.

Also, any escorts willing to barter DC Sports bobbleheads for appointments?

You can send me a resume and I'll consider an interview.  Getting 90+ on all parts of the exam are required for consideration.

Just keep in mind that bartering needs to be reported on Form 1099-B.  I'm sure you knew that though  ;)

TER does not allow bartering posts, but other sites do. There is one hobby site I belong to that has a whole bartering section. Providers list what they need and are willing to trade services for, and clients list what services they have to offer, everything from web design and photography to auto repair and home repair.

There was a regular poster here on TER before (provider) who always talked about bartering for everything from yard service to Botox.

No names will be given.

It's not about saving to be able to afford the date. Some people just like to wheel and deal.

A top tier provider in NJ has daily specials. From Handbags to make up sets. Depending on how hard the item is to find she might offer a 300 gift card in lieu of her 450 usual cost. Last week she was looking for an item that if you knew were to look you could have had a free session for 80 bucks cost of the make up set. The items was going on eBay for over 400 bucks.

Another provider was looking for a pair of tickets to the hottest show on Broadway for a free date. No clue if she was serious about it. I was thinking of getting her the two tickets but didn't want to owe my guy a 2nd favor. It wouldn't have cost me a lot of money. Had it been the provider I am hoping to see this month I would have done it in a heartbeat.

On a side note I can give you all my contacts for a free overnight session but I doubt anyone would go for that. I can get tickets to show concert sporting event or airfare. Anything from top tier designer clothing from the likes of Prada Marc Jacobs or Tory Birch. Any pair of shoes on the market any designer. If a provider who wants to play in the Main Event in the World Series of Poker (10,000 buy in) I can also make that happen. Something I do yearly.

It's not what you know it's who you know.

He owns a business and can get me high end electronics when I visit his city. I ask for things that are worth my donation. It works for us and we both get what we want. He is the only one I have done it for and probably will do it for. I do prefer cold hard cash though.

Someone one on either side....is a predator...

The mechanic hobbyist who fixes providers broke ass car.....and when time to "pay up"....she is busy....

Hobbyist assures provider that flat screen, or electronic products works "just fine"....even though it's been in the basement, attic, spare room....after a week, it stops working.

Yea, bartering for show tickets, how does that work out.....exactly. He could have gotten them free.....

Any who.......I don't ever hear of bartering "working out"..... eventually someone gets bitter and feels cheated.

Haven't tried bartering myself, it appears someone always come out on the short side of the stick

I've done it, dental work, purse I really wanted. lol I wouldn't mind doing it again, hotel visits, plane tickets, shoes, etc. as long as it's not the first meeting and they know what I want. sure. But for the most part, I like cash.
