In my time in this business I've noticed that there tends to be quite a few stalkers and harassers.Fellow provider that I know has had regular clients that threatened to kill her because she would no longer see them.Even in the past I've had clients threaten to harm me after I cut contact off with them.I think the stalking/harassing happens to alot with providers. But my question is What makes a client get to the point of harassing a provider after she says she doesn't want to see you anymore? Is it the sex?Why go to the extremes

He probably thinks the hobby is perfect for acting out his fucked up ways on a gal who can't refuse him and when he learns otherwise, he flips out.

These are sick puppies who ought to be outed and eliminated via black lists, etc., and in some cases reported to LE

I agree here but at the same time I'm wondering  if these "traits" would have shown up somewhere during screening.

D.

It's part of their MO.

I really savvy gal can sometimes figure them out through methods that I can't share on here for obvious reasons, but their are ways.

One thing for certain, however, never see any guy who wears a bow tie

I just read somewhere that psychopaths have more difficulty hiding their traits when communicating via email.  They can be very smooth in face to face.

This game attracts more fucked-up behavior than most other pastimes.  To me, the reason is obvious.  People have more hang-ups about sex issues than just about anything else.  So the area attracts screwy people who act out their fantasies in odd and even violent ways.  This is why screening is so important.  It's also a really good argument against gals using their real-life residences as their incall.

The reason you see so much of it is that the women here have sex with a LOT more men than the average woman. If even one man in a thousand is a "fucked up in the head, serial stalker" a woman who fucks a thousand different men is rather likely to run into one of these fucked up guys, a hundred times more likely than a woman who only has sex with maybe ten guys in her lifetime. It's not just the hobby, it's mathematics.

I completely agree about a woman using her actual home as an incall.

But I'm also basing my observation on the stalkerish behavior one sees on the boards, some of which then continues in real life.  That said, yes, the numbers involved must have a bearing as well.

For every four male stalkers there is one female stalker.

Female stalkers were, on average, 37.4 years of age (not that different than male stalkers at 37.7 years).
Females were less likely to have a criminal history (28%) than were males (63%) but they were equally likely to have a restraining order concerning their current target (28% versus 35%, respectively).

Mental disorders were prevalent (women, 84%; men, 79%) with women more likely diagnosed with personality disorder (71% versus 57%) and borderline personality disorder being most common among the women (33%). Men and women were equally likely to be diagnosed with Axis I mental disorders (such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or substance use) but women stalkers were slightly (but not significantly) more likely to be psychotic (38% to 20%).

Women more often targeted someone known to them (94%). Women were more likely to stalk professional contacts (13% vs 5%); friends/family members (13% vs 5%); or neighbors (14% vs 5%). Men were more likely to target an ex-intimate partner (60% vs 40%); or strangers (17% vs 6%). Women were also more likely to engage in same-gender stalking (50% vs 13%).

More than half of the women stalkers (52%) were classified as “rejected stalkers” where the stalking arose after the breakdown of an intimate relationship. One-third (36%) were classified as “resentful stalkers” where the stalking was an effort to punish the victim for a perceived slight or mistreatment. Another group (9%) were “intimacy seekers” who wished to establish a “loving and intimate” relationship with the victim.

Female stalkers were more likely to communicate via email, letter or fax and less likely than male stalkers to physically follow their target.

Female stalkers in this research stalked for a duration of between one week and 11 years (!) with a median stalking time of 31 weeks. Men, on the other hand, stalked between 1 week and 20 years (!) with a median of 21 weeks.

There was no difference in frequency of violence among female (23%) stalkers and male stalkers (31%).
Women’s violent behavior ranged from slapping and pushing to serious assaults.

Violent female stalkers were more likely to be abusing substances, to be a former sexual intimate and to have a “rejected” motivation for the stalking.

Women stalkers who were “resentful” were much less likely to be violent and violence, in general, was related to following or accosting the victim.

Both male and female stalkers were significantly more likely to be violent towards an opposite-gender target; women were more likely to be violent when stalking with a desire for “intimacy”

Went out 1x on a blind date;  it was apparent she had issues (physical and emotional), so I politely declined to see her again. Stalking started when I would arrive home after a road trip,  at the time I was renting an apartment, and as soon as I pulled in to my building she would pull out as if she was just checking up on me.

Then the phone calls started;  when I say late I mean 3 o'clock in the am.  She would ask if Connie was there, or if Cindy was there, or Kathy, you get the picture.  The 4th time this happened I screamed back "Jenny (not her name IRL),  I know this is you".  Needless to say the stalking stopped right after this.

It just occurs to me that if I do the math right, lesbians are six times more likely to be stalkers than the average male!

According the the below facts, 50% of female stalkers are stalking other females.  Let's say lesbians make up 2% of the female population (I know there are varying estimates.)  Also below we see that there are 4:1 male/female stalkers.  So half the female stalkers are lez.  2% lez population normalized to 100% is a factor of 50.  That factor times the 50% gives an adjusted factor of 25.  We're just taking all males so already normalized to a factor of 4.  To compare we divide the two factors 25/4 = approximately 6.   So six times as many lesbians are stalkers than males.

You can do similar math with gay guys.   Simpler math,  13% rate vs 2% gay population.  Works out also to about 6.  Gay guys are six times more likely to be stalkers than hetero males.

Actually you should be paging the statistician community.  Is there a math major in the house?  :-)

A statistician is someone who is skilled at drawing a precise line from an unwarranted assumption to a foregone conclusion.
