So where do I get my news and updates, sometimes, I see them here first. Sorry to hear. When his hit song came out on the radio “Me and Mrs. Jones,” I would just pause in what I was doing or thinking, pay attention, sit back and enjoy the tune. Forget the lyrics (or maybe not, as I’m sure it addressed those in the same boat). Billy Paul was one gifted soul singer for sure. R.I.P
Philadelphia soul ∞ one of the most underrated sounds in modern popular music (the Delfonics, Teddy Pendergrass, the Stylistics, the O'Jays, etc). Even David Bowie took notice.
Sad another musical legend is gone today.
