Love it, love it, love it. Julia what you stated is so true! "We give you what she doesn't want to, which makes you a happier man to go home and be kind to your wife.  What's not great about that?!  She does your laundry and dishes (maybe) and we get to enjoy you without any snoring (unless you pay extra).  OMG, it's win / win / win!! So Im surfing the web last night and I come across a thread that talked about the hobby having a positive affect on a mans marriage.  I wish I wouldve snagged the link, but it was late so I just went off to bed.  Its also one of those you come across after looking around for awhile and I cant easily find it again.  In any case, that got me to thinking, can the hobby help a marriage?  Interesting theory.  Almost counter-intuitive.  So what would be some of the PROS?  I have some thoughts:

Increased Libido from regular hobbying (frequency is irrelevant as it varies from man to man or woman)

Decrease in stress

Education: this one can vary.  Learning new tricks is always good, nobody is gods gift IMO.  Continue growing sexually.  Then bring it home.

Confidence:  This can be a game changer.  In alot of positive ways outside of the hobby.

Sense of belonging:  Everyone needs this regardless of what you think.  The hobbying community is no longer in the "shadows" for the most part.  Being part of a group can really fulfill that.  This can satisfy a need you're not getting, and make you happier all around.

What are some thoughts you guys have?  Did this gentleman have a point?  I know one size does not fit all, but Im curious.

The problem with modern marriages is that many enter with the expectation that their SO will fulfill all of their physical and emotional needs. When reality sets in, then the hobby can act as a pressure release valve. OTOH, if you already have one foot out door, the hobby might just push you all the way!
