A lot of ladies have their Twitter in the "blog" field of their TER profile, or on their web site. Otherwise, search works well to find specific people. Also, I followed you and you can look at my follow list (@shy_and_quiet).

You really think this is more secure than twitter?
For the OP, I love the fact that providers are on twitter. It's a big indicator of legitimacy, and a great source of information on a provider's looks and personality.
Twitter has led directly to my finding one provider, and has put several more on my "hope they come tour" radar. I think it's a heckuva useful thing.
And like with any other online interaction in life, it's safer when used prudently

I use Twitter but I don't love it for several reasons the first being when followers/men want to message and conversation all day or too much. If I wanted to play text message games with guys I'd just text from my phone. Basically it's not something I do and I work, and surprisingly have a personal life. I have two points of the day I tend to it. The second is quality of content or lack of, there's a lot of cool people in this business but just as equal very self absorbed. That was pretty crass to say but it's true. If feel it's either providers complaining or talking about their latest gifts. I don't complain much and I thank my clients privately. What it is good for updates, I've met a few cool people around the states and Canada. My regulars who know I'm there can peak to see what I'm up too. I do keep mine private to keep out too many lurkers and trolls or spam, but I'm sure limits my following.

don't know about finding clients or hobbyists.
my suggestion: look at the people you follow, look at their twitter page (just click on their avatar/twit handle). look at the people they follow and the people that follow them. maybe you'll find people you know/want to know.

Love twitter but not as active as I should or would lke to be!
I might have been tucked away in another world but to this day, I couldn't figure out how to use Twitter. I didn't feel the need to until "hobby" as I'd seen some do. Anyone Twitter experts in hobby who have the time on their hand can email me for pointers. Greatly appreciative ! lol...

By the way, the trick is #ff Follow Friday - you share with your followers who are fun people you follow, and those usually retweet it - or they appreciate it and think of you next time.
Also, you just reply to people and comment/like their stuff. Usually helps your name get out there.
