I like hooker-fucking.  But I don't call it a hobby.

Hey all!

So hobbyist (& providers), when you aren't indulging in "THE HOBBY" what other hobbies do you find yourself occupying your time with?

I recently picked up a new one! Hiking/ Walking Trails... For some reason I just love it! There's something about shutting off my own & getting lost in the wilderness! I recently have been enjoying Red Rock Canyon & its Scenic drive which comes with plenty trails! Every city I travel I plan to visit at least on hiking scene, my favorite so far was located in Boise, Idaho!

I look forward to reading What you Hobbyist & provides have to share...

Im a student at a school with no ice hockey at all, not even club or intramural, so I like to skate in beer leagues with the older guys. They usually enjoy playing with a kid and i think it really helps that im there to have fun and not to be an asshole or show off my lack of age lol.

And who knows, maybe i have or will someday skate with an eskimo brother twice my age. Not like the thought would ever cross their mind, though. They probably assume i stick to the free college girls.

Sort of new to "The Hobby", so pretty addicted to that right now. Hope that addition slows down or I will have to go back to work. Loosing 70 Lbs and a prescription for Viagra is a real life changer! lol

But since I started early retirement a year and a half ago at 55 y/o, I have really gotten into gardening. Love to play in the dirt and grow vegetables. Nothing like a fresh home grown Tomato. Last fall I can over 40 jars of various peppers and they turned out great. Better that store bought if I do say so myself.

Exercise is new hobby for me also I guess.

Visiting your lovely city the week of the 25th

I have a power boat, kayak, motorcycle bicycle.  The get me around remote areas of this country, but I guess my real hobby is mechanical maintenance lol.

I like to write - I'm in the beginning stages of writing a historical fiction novel. I also like to bake, though I'm not the best, I'm trying to learn. It's a fun process!

We were in Africa for six weeks. Loved it. Some travel on buses, others on 777's. Animals, Victoria falls, amazing views and poverty.

Back for about two months and off to the NE. Then to Jackson Hole Wy and house sit for six weeks. For some tech gazillionaire. They want someone around while work is being done on their place. Tough job, watch the contractors.

Warm for the winter.

When I was 9 years old my aunt showed me how to develope b&W film that I took with a box camera. Her darkroom was in the basement where there was a sink. Blankets further darkened things. Contact prints on a homemade printer. This was in 1941.I was hooked. Many thousands of $$$$ later, I still enjoy it as a hobby, including my current activities as a Hobbyist.:)

Mine too! I call photography my full time hobby. I just purchased some lighting equipment and got to shoot some interiors, which is outside my norm as I usually do travel related photography.  I'm looking at lenses, but if I make a big purchase I'm going to sell some work to pay for it.

start with a large one.

Photography is definitely what keeps me moving.

Philately involves licking.
 Fellatio involves getting licked.
 Makes sense to me.

I make glass beads, some small sculptural pieces* and I also do stained glass.  I have played around with candle making too but not recently.

*sorry, my kiln isn't big enough to make functional toys but I DO have connections ;-)

D.

I agree with you, Red Rock Canyon is an amazing hike, you also might like to try hiking the Painted Desert, also amazing.

I have two:

Tennis...I play a lot of it

Teaching...just started teaching college kids part time at local state college

Great responses, I've read all of the up until my post. I love how many outdoors, and hiking responses there are. Living in the city I have to make the most of what's available to me in terms of hiking.  I travel a good bit I did a lot of international trips in my 20's and now in my 30's realized there's a lot of interest not too far away.  I'm an avid photographer, enjoy design, architecture and art history. I do a good amount of walk, bike, jog around the city. I teach yoga and I have a back ground in physiology so a body nerd hence why I'm so into my clients and massage practice there's just so much going on in your body that cause it to do what it does.  I believe my cup of coffee everyday is a crafted art, so yes I'm a coffee snob and I take that shit seriously.  I dine out out often and I've enjoyed everything from the big ticket coarse meals, to chicagos abundance of ethnic byob and what I call the, Ladies Who Brunch scene. I see a lot of live music and follow a particular genre of music, probably would surprise anyone who doesn't know me. I love having a home that is a home and spending time with my pups.
Needless to say I keep a busy and active schedule.

Chicago summer list
Learn to golf and stand up paddle boarding anyone care to join?

I like traveling, hiking, kayaking, reading, going to movies, and sampling different cuisine at different restaurants.  It doesn't matter if they're white tablecloth, hole in the wall, or a dive bar, good food can be be found all over the place.  I also stay social with Meetup.com.  And I take my dog for walks around Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.  Many times there will be some hot chick also walking her dog, who will ask if my dog wants to be friends with her dog.  And then I might make a friend.

to several meetup.com groups that do all sorts of activities.  Kayaking, hiking, dining, etc.  just a good way to spend a day.

Going to sporting events and comedy shows. Currently my goal to go to a baseball game in all 30 MLB Stadiums. Currently at 10 right now. I usually go to 1 or 2 new stadiiums a year

Are you combining those trips with a visit with a top rated provider in each city?
