Not me, but a provider friend of mine is unsure if she should see a client who is a LEO. He told her he was LEO and he is verified, but she is still unsure. I honestly can't help or advise her. Any suggestions?

I don't care if he had 10 references or 35+ okays.I wouldn't see him.Because you know what these men that claim to be cops could easily blackmail you and make you do things that you don't want.I wouldn't see him

Just sayin' that you can read this post and make of it what you will:

...his real name, she'll have just as much on him as he has on her.  And it's always good to have a cop in your corner.

If he is verified and has other references, why not?

I've posted this previously, but several years ago the NY Times ran some stories and one of them was about an AMP in midtown that was not far from the local precinct. Some cops (in uniform but off duty or on breaks) started hanging around there to relax. It served a useful purpose to cut down on robberies but it also had a negative impact on non-LE regular business. Management opened up a second location directly across the street and the rule was: LE allowed to hang around at the original place but NO LE! at the place across the street

References check out  then why not

And a DA. Was she telling the truth? Who knows, it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Not that they are looking to bust your business but I do have a few friends and contacts that are officers that have outside work and professional  hobbies that work as verification. According to them the job is extremely high stress and they too need some love once in awhile.

I've made no secret of the fact that long ago I was a big city, think one of America's 3 largest cities, homicide detective so I know the subject well.
Most cops have a rough emotional life when on the job. Divorces, suicides, alcoholism is rampant.
We got paid every other Thursday. Then we went to a regular cop bar. Hard to hang with civies for lots of reasons.
The girls that show up are referred to as badge bunnies...they chase guys with badges.
The married guys are usually not comfortable being with them for fear of discovery by wife, other reasons.
If they're married they'd usually prefer to go elsewhere.
My point is lots of cops see providers   Some are married, most are divorced because the job cost them the marriage.
Some are assholes, just like in any other job.
Do the same sort of checks you'd do on anybody.
One word of caution though: in my experience it's not good to have a cop as a regular. Once or twice and done.
If you want more info PM me and I'll explain.

Also keep in mind that he has to be within his own jurisdiction to make an arrest. Is he verifiable as a cop? Does she work in the same jurisdiction as him? If he's a cop in the same jurisdiction she's working in, I'd get a reference. If he's a cop outside of her working jurisdiction, he can't arrest her as long as he's out of his own jurisdiction.  If he's county sheriff, jurisdiction restrictions only apply if he works in a different county.

If you want more specifics, send me a PM. Chicago is in Cook County, which is home to the ever-so-wonderful Cook County Sherriff's Department, headed by Tom Dart. He's got a special squad specifically for hookers in Cook County, so lots of us are hyper-aware of jurisdictional rules.

It's the cop you don't see coming.

If the guy is up front about being a cop, it's very unlikely he is out to bust you. It's the undercover cop/s you have to worry about. It reminds me of the guys who bail on an appointment because there are a couple of police cruisers in plain view of a busy hotel incall. Those are NOT the guys to worry about, it's the guys in the next room waiting to bust you that you'll never see until it's too late.

There was a former District Attorney and then Governor of NY who dabbled in the hobby (and maybe still does [see recent headlines about the incident in NYC]!). He was forced to resign when he was caught. He was caught because of his frequent large cash withdrawals from his bank that triggered an investigation, NOT because of any kind of LE sting operation.

There was a high level White House consultant and friend to President Clinton (#1 Law Enforcer of the Executive Branch) who even put his Provider on the phone to talk to Slick Willy. He was brought down not by LE but by investigative journalists

I'm not sure you guys are understanding the real problem.
A cop telling you he's a cop is rarely a problem as far as a bust.
The problem I'd caution the girls about is some of these guys can really be interested in rough trade
Majority of normal citizens don't really understand what happens in cities on Fri and Sat nights after 1am.
It's a battlefield. Unfortunately some of the guys we referred to as "badge heavy" thought they were John Wayne.
And some of those bozos...every good cop knows who they are...take it out on every civie they see.
My recommendation would be to do some serious vetting with other providers and I'd also insist on his real name before meeting.
That way you can google him too.
Again, if you any concerns or want more info PM me

It use to amaze me how a man with so much to lose..would be so trusting to tell us providers, what it is they actually do.I will admit Ive hung out with firemen, badged officials, even a possessive guy who worked with the CIA and is now a freakin chief!!..just dont understand. Not that i really care who he is..but when you hear of all these busts going on,i cant help but feel some type of way...like why lock up the providers..when they the main ones supporting the hustle?..hypocritical

Not at all.  You missed their point: anonymity might be challenged but "hookers with a heart" is not just a fantasy, in my opinion.
Can't speak for other occupations but cops tend to have a great instinct for people they can trust.
And I've mentioned cop bars in another thread. Cops hang with cops because real civies are naive, clueless and don't understand some of the underbelly of life.
Most providers may not want to be bothered but they do understand what that cop sees.
When my father passed the very first person who contacted, she was on her way to Vegas with a new civie love and had quit the biz, was my old atf and regular.
I've never forgotten that.

In my job as a female i had to learn what to trust what not to trust.I had to learn to trust my instincts and cluing in on peoples behavior in order to properly select the right guest to either invite to my place or theirs..Officials are trained to do the same thing.disort truth and lies..identify and understand people in order to make proper conclusions about situations/circumstances

Wow Youve defiantly opened my perspective.Defiantly makes sense what you have said
