Let's be real about the situation. There is a history between some of those whom post on this board. It's not something new and has existed for some time. I've reached the point that I just disengage. It's not worth my time to get into an exchange.
Some of the other boards have figured that out. That's why one day you'll see me in a flame war with somebody and the next day we are buds yukking it up. Too many here in SD seem to harbor long-term grudges and have little to no sense of humor. THESE are the people that seem perpetually irritated.
I'm outspoken and opinionated, like others here, and I will challenge people to justify their POSITION when I don't agree, as I expect other will do with me. Its not personal, its just me asking you to support what you say with a reasoned argument. That's what debate and a lively exchange is all about. I don't go personal unless someone does it to me first.
This board would be more fun if many here loosened up a little and didn't take themselves so seriously. I stayed away for awhile when incallman retired, and noticed many of the great posters here left too, leaving the board circling the drain. I would encourage those locals here to get involved and lets have some lively discussions. Its NOT personal, its just entertainment.
