But if your not verified anywhere and don't want to give employment information I automatically assume you have something to hide like (being a cop, crazy perv, or A killer so why not get a ter or p411 or something that can verify you with out sharing all that info with a provider

Also, there are different levels of screening. Like, the lady could call my workplace on a night I'm not there and when the boss says "Van isn't here tonight," then she knows that I actually work there. On the other hand, I'm not giving out my social security number. I'm willing to go through the screening, as long as it doesn't put me at risk. As for p411, I've thought about it, but haven't really needed it so far.

Raquel I am assuming that you haven't been a provider for a really extended period of time. With that said, I was wondering how many relationships you might of had with veteran providers in your area? This is critical because I know that if you spoke to a lot of them they would give you some inside tips on how to make your job easier with screening. I am thinking that you should persue this topic extensively with Baltimore Betty. Although she is not quite as active as she once was, I am sure that she will give you some tips on how to screen effectively and help yourself be safe. There are also other approachable women that you should speak with such as Kelly. Finally in order to get a real seminar on the subject ,if you can get in there yet, go to the providers only board. That way you will be among providers that have varying degrees of experience. With a good network for referrals, you will be well on your way to being safe. Not to mention, I am sure that you have friends that know where you are during your sessions as well.
If a provider does not request any information accept a phone number and hotel room, then I would be worried. If she is not worried about her safety, why worry about mine? TER and DateCheck were the two sites I signed up on when I entered the hobby. Makes things very easy for a hobbyist, and chances are Johnny Law won't trap you.
