END OF MESSAGE

Well, leave town for a couple of weeks, come back and the place is in an uproar.  Providers freaking out, trips cancelled -- sounds like rumor control has gone into high gear.

What concerns me about all this is that I have yet to see a single concrete fact, from *any* media source, to support all of this alleged LE activity.  Things like:  arrest dates, names, locations, charges.  All of this 'police blotter' data is public information and generally available in the newspapers (particularly vice arrests, which many LE departments love to specially publicize), so when I see posts from someone who has 'heard about' this or that bust, but with no supporting information, I tend to take it with a grain of salt.  Remember, contrary to reports from some circles, the sky is *not* falling anytime soon.

Don't get me wrong:  strong screening and security procedures remain a must.  The LE threat is real and ever present.  But please folks, don't post rumors.  If you've got something to report, give us *facts*.

Cheers!

This is not a chicken little situation. It is for real. There were 50 recent arrests when the bust happened in DC. A hobbist got involved during the sting. He was involved in helping LE arrest some of the providers. He went down the list of providers and keep in calling and calling offering lots of money. The providers who had a 2nd sense and intution did not accept his calls. His references checked out but providers did not realize that he had been compromised.

BTW the bust happened at 2 seperate hotels in 2 different sections of DC. I heard that a lot of asian providers got taken down. A provider mentioned the hobby spot in the other dc message board on the other site. LE found out and secured the hotel.

Like:
 1) Date of the alleged arrests?
 2) Which hotels?
 3) Which sections of DC?
 4) Just how did you come to 'hear' of this (a link would be
    great!)?

CharlieHorse, I'm sure you're trying to help everyone, but so far, I've heard nothing but a lot of sensational claims.  If you want to be taken seriously, please give us some *data* that we can verify.  Otherwise, Chicken Little is *exactly* what this is.

Cheers!

Exactly.  I placed a post last week about a rumor I'd heard and asked for any info that members may have.  However, there have been no links posted that relate to any recent LE activity in DC.  The only links I've seen relate to other areas of the country.  This is really starting to appear to be completely bogus.  CharlieHorse, if you do not have any facts to back up your comments, stay away from the subject, please.

Found out the LE makes arrests all the time but they are not always published in the papers. I am also curious why there has not been any news articles, since this was such a big bust.

You've lost credibility.  A post listing places, with NO corroborating info like a link, is simply not believed.  If you have real, solid evidence to share, share it.  If all you have is hearsay and conjecture, keep it to yourself.

Then YOU prove it.  Post the links.  Don't try to foist it off on others.  Put up or shut up.

Methinks thou dost protest too much.

Without giving the girls names, there were numerous arrests and some are known providers. These guys offered $$$ and seeing that so many girls have specials (and are in need of $) it was very somewhat easy to lure the girls to these locations. You would never think it could happen at  the Georgetown Suites would you? It did! You would never think that DC cops would nab girls instead of work on their uncontrollable homicides and gangs (resulting in death(s) of a child in some cases) but they did. I know 1st hand (although not me thank god) You keep harping on this guy who is giving you a heads up and you should be thanking him for any and all info given. Weather some/all is good info or not best to be safe than sorry!

There have been several in Va also. We have to work together!

He may indeed be telling the truth.  The problem is, he (and you) offer no PROOF, you merely repeat the same tired hearsay.

Believe me, a significant bust is going to be publicized, especially in an election year... yet no one reputable can find anything in any of the papers or news web sites about this "huge bust", and despite a lot of people looking, the are only two or three people who are giving this the chicken-little treatment (and I'm personally not convinced that they are not the same person - all have remarkably similar writing styles, turns of phrase, grammatical and spelling errors, etc.)  Nor do any of them appear to be long-term, reputable members of this board (I have not personally researched this aspect of things, so I could be wrong.)  In a nutshell, it just doesn't ring true... and people have all sorts of motivations for pulling shit on these boards.

I say to you what I've said to him: show us verifiable PROOF.  Hearsay is worthless, and until more proof is offered, hearsay is all we've heard.

Most of this info is coming from the other board.  Most cannot be verified but there is a strong possibility that some of it might be true.  The only one I heard of was in NoVA but it was minor.  The DC one I can't find any confirmation.  If I get more info will post but until then happy hobbying.

The first post you ever made was june 6 on this board. since then you have posted nothing but vague references to LE with zero facts despite repeated request for them. You have zero credability with me! Pattaya
