Be very careful. The people that got busted used references. Also a top level provider also almost got busted. She was very blessed in that the parking lot at the hotel was full. As a result she had to leave.
As you can see the crackdowns are all over the place.
With security at high levels I am sure the powers that be would love to make a high profile arrest from a provider crossing international borders.
Personally I think the government is looking to find out if national security has been breached. There are a high number of foreign national providers hitting the dc area in recent years. Some could be agents for foreign goverments. This is why the crackdown is happening in my view.

Loss of a TS security clearance because of a conviction is not uncommon, and was happening long before 9/11. Keep in mind that we're not talking CIA ops here, we're merely talking about the many thousands of people in the DC area for whom a TS clearance is a job requirement - civilians working for government contractors as well as government employees.
I understand the desire for safety, but let's not turn Chicken-Little on this deal.
Folks who have clearances of any kind, their finger prints are in the FBI database. This is not a Chicken-Little deal. The bust in DC was major. All LE has to do is get finger prints and then get matches in the FBI national database.
I can remember one place someone had a TS/with lifestyle poly. The watchdog group of agency called him and told him to tell his wife about being a player. He would not comply and he lost his job and clearance.
Bottom line is that folks who have clearances should not even beging to think being in the hobby. There are to many prototype investigation techinques that are being tested as we speak.
The feds can claim that they need to get involved in prostitution to investigate terrorism. But in reality they are helping the moral right to get votes.

Just found that all government clearances are going to be centralized into one agency. This agency is right in DC OPM (office of Personnel management)
I'm fully aware of how the security clearance system works. I was not disagreeing with the idea that it is very risky for someone with a clearance to be hobbying - only that all this talk of "everyone must quit ALL actvities NOW!!!" is very definitely a Chicken-Little scenario.
My question is: why are you and your cohort over in the corner so eager to get everyone to stop hobbying completely? Please don't go down the "I'm just looking out for everyone" road - altruism is a bullshit excuse for anything. So, what's your personal stake in stirring up the shit? Either tell us that, or pipe down.
The reason why I post the links and info is to people be aware on what is going on. Just found out from another board that a provider in NVA got busted last night. The bust in DC was a major record in terms of the numbers of people who got arrested. From hearing about the another arrest the LE crackdown continues.
It is not stirring up stuff. People need to take a break until the storm is over. This might be the time to travel up north to Cananda or somewhere else out of the US to hobby.
Running point is no longer an option. For those who have regulars that can be trusted they can continue to hobby. New folks who want to hobby both providers and hobbists are in serious jeopardy.
People should be thankful that people are telling folks what is going on. Otherwise many more people could have been busted.

People need to be aware that both Montgomery County Maryland and Anne Arundal county Maryland have internet prostitution task forces.

Altruism is a bullshit excuse. But since it's the only one you seem willing to offer, we'll go with it... but I for one recommend taking several big grains of salt with your postings. You and the one or two other Chicken Littles hereabouts are posting a lot of "I heard"'s and "I read elsewhere"'s but few corroborated facts. (The annapolis paper's site you referenced failed to turn up *any* articles on a search of 'prostitution' or any of a half-dozen related keywords.)
I've said before and I say again: Sharing info, even rumors, is fine - that's the purpose of these boards, and I participate because it when I share with others, it ultimately makes MY hobbying safer and easier. But stirring up shit with screams of "The sky is falling!" does NO one any good, it only strokes the ego of the one doing the screaming.
I personally went to the library and did a search I have 1 inch thick printout of the arrests for Anne Arundal County.
This is not a chicken little situation. It is for real. There were 50 recent arrests when the bust happened in DC. A hobbist got involved during the sting. He was involved in helping LE arrest some of the providers. He went down the list of providers and keep in calling and calling offering lots of money. The providers who had a 2nd sense and intution did not accept his calls. His references checked out but providers did not realize that he had been compromised.
The reason why the media did not say anything was because of the big funeral.
