This is very cool and very exciting!
I remember seeing the symphony there as a kid.
Hope they can revive the location - it's a great spot and has historic significance in San Diego.
Anyone else interested or excited to see the location reopen?

Yes Goldie, it is a lovely venue, with previous amazing performances.
Surprisingly, the acoustics are excellent, since it is an outdoor amphitheater.
Have you ever seen Christmas performances  at this Starlight Bowl?
  If not, it  is a "must-see", "must-do"!
  It is a perfect date-night;  dinner, music, the stars,...oh yes, one will  
see stars during and especially after! lol

I well remember going to Starlight in the 50s, 60s and 70s (dating myself there). It was and is a great venue. As far as the aircraft noise, that was part of the uniqueness of the experience; never really a major problem in reality.

I remember hearing and seeing La Boheme in 1979 at that theater. A lovely summer night!!
Never forgot it. Great if its coming back:
