My experience
I know this is aurguatable, especially with the higher end, but for us middle of the road, chemistry ( I hate that word) and performance (again, sounds like a dog and pony show) are what make a date...I will leave it at that.
very few of the "higher end" ladies i have seen can match the verve and dedication of the ladies i see for reasonable prices (tho i admit one man's reasonable price is another man's small fortune, and yet another man's pocket change).
chemistry is above all. recently saw someone who was quite adequate, very cute, very willing, but nothing i would ever want to repeat for myself. although i know ymmv.

My experience
Chemistry can be created, it just takes commitment. Having a real commitment proves to be successful in my experience! If you do what you love, you never work a day in your life....right? I love my work and I'm committed to it. Perhaps some providers are no longer into it, or understand that chemistry can be created. A quote from the lovely Jessica Alba, "I could have sexual chemistry with vinegar." LOL
