Many of you already know Cindy, either directly or indirectly.

She's the little white dog in some of my photos.  She's the one who travels with me everywhere.  She's the one who doesn't have to stay in the laundry room with the other dogs when I see clients at my house.

Cindy was found on the streets when she was four months old and was immediately deemed a hopeless case.  She had mange and tried to bite people.  Someone from a rescue group saved her from euthanasia and I adopted her outside of a pet store a month later.

I don't know what is so special about this bossy, comical, and independent little dog, but I soon formed an attachment to her that was stronger than any other attachment to any other pet I've ever had.  My doctor wrote me a letter so she could be an ESA (emotional support animal) and since then she's been with me always.  She goes with me when I shop, when I travel, and when I go on out calls. She usually stays in her dog stroller on out calls and is no trouble, as reviews will mention again and again.

Cindy turned six on Thanksgiving Day.

We traveled together to Chicago last week.

During our stay there I noticed a small lump on her butt.  I cancelled my afternoon appointments and took Cindy to the local vet right away.

They took a needle aspirate of the lump and said it was probably a benign thing that could easily be removed.

On Monday morning I saw an email from the vet who apologized for the email, but he wasn't able to reach me on my phone.  He said something like, "Unfortunately the lump on Cindy's anus is a malignant tumor that can cause a lot of trouble.  The problem is the location.  In order to safely excise this tumor we will have to remove Cindy's entire anus.  This type of surgery goes beyond what we can do at our hospital.  I recommend finding a specialist immediately when you return home".  The cytology report was attached.

To say that I was devastated is such an understatement...but it will suffice.

I found a specialist and booked an appointment for the next day while I was on my way to the airport to travel back to San Diego from Chicago.

Cindy spent all day at the Cancer Center yesterday.

The first thing the doctor's had to determine was whether the cancer came from the liver or spleen which it's prone to do, or if it had yet traveled there, which it's also prone to do.  There is apparently no spread of the cancer.

The next thing they did was to remove just the small tumor.  Her anus is in tack.  I have to wait up to five days to find out if it's a class I, II, or III.

If the tumor is a class I or a class II, the doctor believes that 16 sessions of radiation therapy to the surrounding area and local lymph nodes will give Cindy a 90-95% chance of surviving this cancer since it was caught quickly.

If the tumor is a class III, she will also need chemotherapy, but still has a 90% chance to survive.

To say that I'm relieved beyond words is, again, an understatement.

Cindy will begin her radiation therapy in two weeks after the excision of the tumor area has a chance to heal.

I'll need 6000-7000$ at that time.

So, that brings us to the reason of this ad!

My "SAVE CINDY" special will continue until I have made the money I need for Cindy's radiation therapy.
