Was in W-S for a conference. Saw her on BP and the add said text for photos Sent photos and they were very nice, Brunette, spinner, early 20's. Did some flirtatious texting back and forth. Got into town and texted her again. She said she was available. The 904 area code was Florida, but providers do travel, so not that concerning. Got to the hotel and gave her hotel name, but she dropped this bombshell on me--that she does not accept cash due to safety reasons, but rather wants prepaid vanilla debit cards. Shrug. That's a new one on me, but whatever. Went to the store and got a prepaid debit card to the tune of $200 dollars and called her back. She said she was 15 minutes away but wanted to be sure that the debit card was legit so she wanted me to tell her the numbers of the card over the phone so she could check it out and make sure that it recharged her card. I said that I didn't get the recharge card and just got the debit card. She said that wouldn't work as she needed the recharge card to recharge her debit card because she already had one and she needed the numbers to verify that I charged it. I offered her cash with a $50 tip for her trouble but she declined, saying she needed the recharge card numbers and she sent me another picture and said she's make it worth my while. The second set of pics she sent me were nothing like the first. I said that she should have a good night and not to bother as it was too weird. I think she was planning on taking the money and not showing up. I've never heard of the scam before, but it was obvious that's all this was. Stay safe out there.

I've had something similar happen when I was very new to this in Va Beach. She said she needed a card to pay for a second room as her roommate had booked for the same time as us but she didn't have a bank account. I didn't want to get the card but she insisted I could hand her the card directly once at the hotel. Got to the hotel and she asks for the numbers over the phone. I walked. Looked it up and found others who had given the numbers over the phone to same girl and she never showed. We all live and learn but I learned the "always do your research up front" lesson.
I have clients that sometimes would like to give me a giftcard or similar as a payment or tip which if that has to be the situation then all you have to do is verify the card in person, of course unless its a client I've seen before and trust then no need to verify.
People please be careful out there, way too many low lifes trying to get over on decent people
I got scammed on my very first foray into this enjoyable pastime a number of years ago. It was a good and fairly inexpensive lesson about the consequences of trusting all in this community to have pure motives. "Trust but verify" is indeed a good motto for us all. Too many bad things can happen to the unwary. I personally avoid sites like BackPage that can be abused easily by the bottom feeders, but information like this is helpful to all of us. It's a scam I'd never come across, and I thank you for posting it here.
It baffles me that guys don't do their due diligence and only see well known providers. But they would rather continue to go to Backpage where there are underage girls, scam artists and pimps!

you are SADLY mistaken. Had something very similar to this happen to me last week. A girl that adv. here, had NUMEROUS REVIEWS.
So, don't think just because someone adv. here that shit doesn't happen. It does.
