I had the honor of taking care of my mom...

for the last 3 years of her life when she needed me to return the care and love that she gave me over her entire life. I have said it before, but it bears repeating that the Title of MOM ranks right up there with the Medal of Honor bestowed on those in the military who risk, and very often, give their life to save others. My MOM was one such recipient who devoted her life to saving mine--I miss her terribly(,,,,,,,,,,  

You are making a good decision, and I hope your MOM has her full allotment of years yet to come)

Ma'am, so sorry to hear of your challenge.  Please know that when all is said and done you'll look back on these troubled times with no regrets.  Your Mom is very fortunate to have raised such a compassionate girl. You're tops on the list!

Taking care of either parent is a difficult, but very noble thing to do. I did this for my dad, even though the last few months he did not even remember me. It can be very difficult, but looking back (based on my own reflection) you are doing the right thing.
I am glad you are coming to Columbia and hope to meet you one day.
