When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zepplin IV. -e-

Does music set your mood or enhance your session? I seem to have a better day when I have a lot of music. Sometimes it helps me get in the mood.

I would agree about music. Put on some Sade, and I am ready to go.

Never listened to her before.

Was with a lady for an overnight this past weekend, and my playlist included Sade (Lover's Rock is awesome! and very aptly named for the occasion, lol), Seal (Love's Divine and Touch are both perfect!), some of Sting's more current jazzier stuff, and some Annie Lennox, along with a few other favorites. Worked like a charm! She loved the music and it set the mood for an incredible evening!     ----------  Robert

Generally, I don't like music in the background because I tend to listen to and analyze it. However, there are a few pieces that are very good for getting in the mood:

Albinoni: Adagio for Organ and Strings; right length and style for sensual disrobing and initial heavy petting.

Schoenberg: Verklarte Nacht; very sensual music from an unlikely source. Good for foreplay and lovemaking.

Wagner: Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde; the closest thing to a musical orgasm you'll find...and can definitely enhance your own.

I've got a couple playlists that I bring to my weekly therapy sessions with my favorite.  She has started adding her requests for artists and banned my Grateful Dead (OK, I understand that) and Bonnie Raitt (NNOOOO!!!!).  This has made creating playlist much more difficult.

I've become a fan of AC/DC for sessions in addition to Led Zep, Dusty Springfield, Clapton, while she likes Van Morrison, Bruno Mars, Al Green (sometimes).  Funny, though, the first 15 minutes of a session, we're "fighting" over what to listen to and 15 minutes later, we never notice when the album finishes.  Today I queued up Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally" during halftime.  She hit me.  We've also been using Pandora and Spotify if we don't want to worry about what to play next.

At least playlists last more than 30 minutes...

my new favorite would be disc 1 of David Gilmour/Pink Floyd "Live in Gdansk"  old stuff and new stuff, the music is great and some of lyrics will help the mood.

A little Johnny Gil, Keith Sweat, Gerald Levertt, Ralph Tresvant

Am I on the right track?

I prefer music sans lyrics when I'm in my meetings.  (Lately she sounds like a modern European) I don't want to think about the next line while I'm playing the skin flute.

I can't help it: when I read your post, I flashed on the appropriateness of flute music for that part of a meeting. The obvious first choice is Debussy's Syrinx for solo flute, but it's only about 3 minutes long. A more interesting choice may be his Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, which features a prominent flute solo, and runs around 10 minutes. No lyrics on either of these.

Back in the day, she could have beaten me or anything else she wanted to do, but she went to Alaska and dropped out.

I usually like late 80's and 90's R&B or a soft rock playlist depending on my mood but since I'm headed to the Carolina's this week I'm thinking I'm adding a little Charlie Daniels and Merle Haggard to the playlist ;)

Ask your clients in advance what kind of music they like.  Some of us don't respond real well to some of today's sounds, but it can be awkward asking the person who chose it to then turn it off
