if you do a selfie well

i will tell you what i don't like about selfies, and i will admit it may only be pertinent to my tastes.

most selfies are taken by people who are staring into their camera to frame the picture.  so the end result is a picture of a person not looking at me, the viewer of the picture, but rather staring into their phone, which to me is indicative of self-absorption.  i'm not saying that's what the person actually is, i'm just saying that to me a picture of a person looking into their phone seems so shallow and self interested.

it's a bit more difficult to do, but a good selfie is done by looking into your phone, getting the frame right, then glancing up into the mirror and looking straight into the lens on the back of your phone as you snap the picture.  the end result of this is a picture of a person looking at me, the viewer of the picture.

a few selfies like these mixed in with glamour shots do it for me.  also a few candid shots like being semi naked out doors always does it for me.

Get you guys all horned up and make you want to see a provider solely based on ads? I'm trying to figure out what types of photos to take. All these glamour shots and selfies are unoriginal to me. I need some input.

If you are a hottie, just about any kind of pics will get your phone ringing and if you aren't Aldo pics might get your phone to ring, but it won't keep guys like me from walking right back out the door we came in through.

Just provide accurate, recent pics and most of us will be quite happy.

Why in the world would I be jealous of a photographer?

It's simply common knowledge, and no longer even an "inside joke" when someone says that "even Aldo couldn't make so and so look good"

Aldo's reputation for photo shopping is well deserved and his credibility is crap among most guys with any experience here. I am sorry this hits close to home for you, but please don't shoot the messenger.

Make me look 20 years younger and 50lbs lighter.  Why do you say Aldo's reputation is crap?  He is an excellent photographer/miracle worker.

Me, I never really look at the corners on the pictures to see who the photographer is. It's over thinking this. If she photos nice/good, review are consistent and she's price out right. That's all I need, who cares if the photos are done Sears or Walmart. Most guys know that there's ALWAYS some touch up made, I/we get it. So you're hard on for him may be deeper then what you're letting on...Did he "qip pro quo" your ATF?..I always figured you for a fake tough guy, but not a jealous one....And who made you the "messenger"?...come on now.

Don't take my word for it. Simply do a message search on virtually any regional board and you will find hundreds of posts agreeing with me. Or do I need to show you how to do a simple message search?

and please keep up, I am firmly on the record as never having had an ATF.

BTW What the fuck is a "qip pro quo"??? Are you channeling fatgirl or Fancy this afternoon

You mention Aldo quite frequently when the mention of photos come up and some other guys do as well.
My question to you guys that don't care for Aldo pics. What if the provider has done photos with other photographers as well as Aldo?Do you automatically write her off if the photos are only done by Aldo?Or do you look at all of the pics she has available on ads and/or website?
I have worked with Aldo in the past my first few shoots in this business was done by him but I never had anyone mention that I look older or bigger than my pics.

Many of the pics I have used are Aldo's pics but untouched so quite a few are his work without the watermark. But even the ones with his watermark are an accurate representation of me but I do like to use other photographers as well because I know there are some who will question his work(how does she really look in person)
I like a variety and right now working with female photographers(Black Lotus rocks) for the last couple of years makes for a different look.

but just like a woman with solid 10-10 reviews, without a single 9 for either performance or appearance out of literally pages of reviews, it does raise my suspicions.

Aldo has become synonymous with "Photo Shopped Pics" As you mention, I am hardly the only one that feels this way. Maybe he is a victim of his own success, but if all I have to go by are Aldo pics, I might as well not have any pics at all IMO.

Some of the women get all huffy when hearing this from me and other guys who have learned the hard way about Aldo pics. I would suggest to all of them that they remind themselves that we are the guys they are hoping will call them and that anything that might make us call someone else should be considered when choosing a photographer. It's no skin off my nose, I can call anyone of thousands of different women if I choose, but for you ladies, you really should listen when enough of your potential clients say the same thing about the guy you are trusting to BRING you business, not chase it away.

One last thing, I am fully aware that not ALL Aldo pics have been shopped, just like not all providers with a string of 10-10 reviews are guilty of review manipulation, but enough of them are shopped for him to have lost all credibility with me and LOTS of other guys when shopping for a provider. All things being equal (which of course, they rarely are) I will take the woman with the NON Aldo pics.

I just took a few minutes and went through your web site, and yours could be used as a template as to how to "do it right" You have plenty of pics, Aldo and otherwise, IMO you are a hottie, tall and slim with no need for Aldo to "work his magic" Quite frankly, you don't need advice on this subject from anyone, including me.

Now, let me go back to being the prick you all know and love, let's suppose all you had were Aldo Pics, and lets also suppose that instead of a nice healthy mix of mainly 9's and 10's in your reviews, you had nothing but a string of unrealistic 10-10 reviews. If THAT were the case, all your hard work in putting together a very stylish and complete website would have gone for naught as it would raise just as much suspicion as interest to someone who has been as long as me.

So did I do a good job of sucking up? Happy V Day:)

Alittle touch here and there but I've seen some of his clients and they were spot on to his work...so it's not like I run for the hills when I see clients.

am confident you will attract more attention.  Betting you have more than your fair share of qualities that attract those of the opposite sex.........or same sex, for that matter, if that is what interests you.

Why not allow those qualities to speak for you...........that way you will get the attention of those who can appreciate what you have to offer.........with as little presumption as possible.

QAS far as I am concerned. As a photographer I am impressed with excellent images. Honestly photographed and not Photoshopped to  distort realitythat  is false advertising. IMO.
I notice that in the Photos Only the most likes come images that fall into 2 or 3 categories.
1.smiling recognizable faces
2. those with fkme high heels LOL
3 those from providers who serve the high markets like Las Vegas and the world.
4 popular TER women who brighten our various boards
5. nude women in outdoor or public places ie beaches, city locations or other unusual locations.
6.sadly Afro Americans don't fare well.
7.composites with several wome don't fare well either.
8. Elegant photos of beautiful women in elegant locations

Now if the responses reflect more business I don't know.
TER reviews along with good photos probably is something to strive for.

Many guys say they love selfies and actually prefer them.
I wouldn't want to use selfies as my primary photos for ads and website purposes.
However,I added a few selfies to my website so I don't just have professional only photos.

...a nice mix of selfies is really refreshing.  I can only stand so many glamour shots.

No problem, whatever turns you on. Most selfies are not well done, In my opinion.

where staged photography captures a story/evokes an emotion of perception whether real or fantasy.

or the real world lol

How is it relevant if a lady is staring at you or the camera if her head is cut off 9x out of 10 lol

I think most pics are glammed up a little bit.  If you're going to take selfies please try to keep your phone/camera out of view.

When I first started hobbying and even now if I'm scanning through BP ( yah I admit, I still do) the type of pic that turns my stomach are the puckered up missy face pics.  There's no need for that.

A nice pic that will turn me on 95% if the time is a nicely taken provocative pose :-)

D.

So many nice photos are ruined because the lighting masks, rather than reveals  Bad lighting can also highlight features you'd rather not highlight.

The pose is important, as well as the angle the shot is taken from.  Some poses are very enticing, others just awkward.  Simply straining certain muscle groups does not cut it.

I like flesh, but it isn't 100% necessary.

Generally professional photos are better than selfies, though I've seen a few good ones.

And for the record, I enjoy bathroom poses, especially bubble bath or shower shots

of her proportions (height, weight, stature, etc.). Some can be in casual clothing, swim suits, lingerie, sun dress, etc. No need to show all the goods since many guys enjoy unwrapping their present (you) as part of the foreplay.

ThreAD 101.

Really. Look at them. And for those who can't choose based on the professional shots, plenty to choose from with the candids & selfie album.

The next photo shoot will have clothes in them, and also a pro video will be shot on MONDAY!! Woot. I will be humping pillows. It's going to be kick ass.

So since I can't decide, because no one thinks exactly the same about pictures, (obviously, just coming from this thread lol,) why not have professionals, (fashion and boudoir, where the poses look natural and not stiff/staged,) selfies/candids, and then a video... if having all three of them pisses someone off because I should have one or the other, not all, the hell with it. I just deflected a picky, high maintenance client. lol

Selfies don't piss me off, it's just that they are often not very good. I don't decide if I want to see a lady based only on their websites. Reviews and email exchanges are important for me.
I hope you have Happy Valentines Day

I have been a serious amateur photographer for many years so here is my advice.

1) Fill the frame
One of the most common errors I see is that the subject, the hooker, does not comprise enough of the frame. As a rule of thumb, the background should only comprise 20 to 25% of the frame.
 2) Pay attention to the background
Distracting backgrounds that compete with the subject reduce the impact. Toilets, appliances, fancy cars, etc. Do not enhance the subject.
3) Depth of field is an effective way to enhance the subject.
Properly composed, the area behind the subject can be made to intentionally be out of focus allowing the subject to visually move forward in the frame.
4) Don't shoot up at the subject
Shots from the bottom of the stairs with the subject located at the middle of the stairs are one example.
5) it's All about the light, stupid
Certainly the most challenging component of any photo is the quality of light. Under and overexposed shots should be discarded or adjusted. If exterior shots, try to shoot during the "golden hours", proximate to. sunrise and sunset.
6) Flash photography
     A. If a flash is used indoors pay particular attention to the shadows thrown. Typically, if those shadows are a problem, increase the distance between the subject and the walls in the background to reduce the shadows. In many cases, turning the flash on when the light from behind the subject dominates, will "fill" the subject by balancing the light.
     B. Avoid shots with a flash pointed directly at the subject. Pros bounce the flash off the surroundings or in the case of exterior shots use reflectors to create soft, evenly lit subjects.
7)     If you take your own photos or not, learn to use photo editing software. Free versions like Picassa can provide quite serviceable utilities like cropping (see fill the frame), color correction (unnatural hues and bad skin tones), and even sharpening and softening focus.
8)     I personally abhor upside down shots of people. Consider this, how many shots in the SI swimsuit issue show the model inverted?
9)     Aldo is quite good. Some may think the shots arn't representative of reality but that is quite subjective. If you look carefully at his work, you will see he handles almost every one of the qualities mentioned above quite well. In any case, if you can afford it, use a pro.
10)     Get a real camera and learn how to use it! Using a tripod and a remote shutter release you can easily take your own quality shots. If you can afford about a $1000 for equipment you can be in control of your most important marketing tool. Obviously, the investment would pay for itself over a relatively short time.

For excellent photo concepts, look no further than a magazine stand. Using your phone camera, flip through any number of rags and literally steal the shots you like by snapping them and then try to reproduce.

Finally, misrepepresenting your looks by using ancient or misleading photos is simply fraud. In my experience, the worst offenders are ageing hookers who think their current looks arn't competitive. A good photographer knows how to enhance anyone's looks.
