I don't get it.

Why don't you just mind your own business?

For some guys who have absolutely, positively nothing else to flaunt throwing around money is their only game to impress women.

So they figure out the way to eliminate the competition is to price it out of the market.

Then they can 1)  impress the woman of their target while 2) hopefully claims some sort of exclusivity.

They're under their assumption that the less men she sees the safer and better their dates will go.

but i've never not been grandfathered.  nobody has ever raised their rates on me.

i'm seeing a lady since 2012 still at her original rate.  another lady i haven't seen for 2 years, i just emailed her asking if she'd see me at her original rate back then, she said yes.

also, i wouldn't suggest it to a woman to whom i wasn't prepared to pay what i suggest.  that would be pretty creepy.  i'm a lot of things, not all of them exemplary, but i am not creepy

Everyone do your part and restrict the convos to the uninstrusive subjects of rimming policy, condom preferences, geriatric hooker retirement plans, pegging (and the term's political correctness), clit piercings, urine that pulls the wool over everyone's eyes by pretending to be female ejaculate, Asian fetishes, threesomes, everybody turning gay, love, menstruation sponges, marriage, and the biomechanics of sex with little people.

you said, "ejaculate"

he he he he

In case you haven't noticed, providers come & go continuously.
From time to time, we'll meet one that so exceeds our expectations that we hope she'll be available for a long time to come.
Everybody - providers, hobbyists, & people who don't know our meaning of 'hobby' alike - comes to a crossroad in their life where they have to decide whether to stay their course or make a change. For a provider, how much they're earning would almost certainly be part of the calculus that determines their decision.

Let's pretend you're a newer provider, but somehow have managed to have as much business as you'd like, and find yourself in the Top 10 of your large city. Let's also pretend that you're having trouble coming to grips with some of the realities of providing, feel your heart strings tugging you toward more convention in your relationships & lifestyle. If you were making 25 or 33 or 50 percent more for your efforts, the troubles & the heart strings would still be there, but they'd be easier to justify.

IOW, there are are a lot of folks in Boston who want Octavia to unrepentently stay in the hobby. I can hardly blame them - besides being so open & interesting on this board, there's that whole YOWSAH! aspect.

thanks for the compliment....i never planned on being in top 10, but i am honored to be there....everybody tells me to raise prices....i do have my own ways of doing things....

Men who have a variety of experiences with lovely ladies- (not into the old fashioned P-word btw).
Courtesans develop and change- we can fine tune or burn out.  Raising our expectations aloows you to rainse yours.  Seems reciprocal!

Exactly!  As a person who has seen many providers over the years I can spot quality in an experience.  While its not self serving to tell a lady this (in case she follows the advice and prices you out), it is a compliment to her that her services were above average of the price point paid.  Its telling her ahe is worth more than she is pricing herself.  I actually said to a provider last week that "Wow!  You are so damned good!  Not that I want you to change your price point but the experience just had was worth 2 sessions with someone else!"  She laughed, took it as the compliment it was meant to be and said "Nah, I think I'm in the sweet spot.  I have my regulars and my prices are low enough to attract a few new guys now and then, I din't need to break the bank".  That right there told me the lady had class.
