My first thought when entering an incall is "Where's a good place to put the donation?"
I usually have appointments at the provider's hotel. Only twice have I been to an escort's incall. The first, the incall was kind of messy, since the provider was getting ready to tour. if the incall is clean and neat, that's all i care about. it can be mid-century bauhaus rococo with post-modern arabian colonial deco accents for all i care. clean, a sofa (i like to start with heavy petting) a bed and a shower, a little kitchenette is a bonus for the refreshment i bring.
Nice incall beats a hotel hands down. But whichever it is, I'll notice clutter first. Clothing on an unused bed, personal items, makeup, towels and such on the dresser, desk or bathroom vanity are a turnoff for me. Put everything in the closet where I can't see it.
that would be of interest to me in anything but the seediest locales.
Lights on, lights off, candles, scents. They're all nice, but you're what gets me to knock on your door or open my door for you.

To look past the provider... That's why I'm there. I've made out in the bushes, on the beach, in the back of a car...
It would have to be really messy (I am a guy) or have an offensive smell for me to pay a lot of attention to the decor...
I prefer a private incall as it feels more private though walking through an empty lobby and down a long hall can make you wonder - is there a busy-body watching the comings and goings of unit XYZ?
A hotel give you a certain anonymity in the lobby but if there are hotel workers in the hall - especially near the door I don't have to knock on I imagine their curiosity might be peaked and if LE has asked the staff to tip them off of unusual traffic...
I like it light, I like to see the lady. I don't need "romantic" candles. Then of course, maybe the lady would not want to see me in such detail, lol.

After the provider herself it is the cleanliness ether the decor/ As for preference of incall vs hotel it is hands down a condo type Incall as long as it has a reasonably discrete entrance and parking. If you have seen one hotel room you have seen them all and with the private location ai feel the provider is more into her own element and personality.
I notice how clean the location is. Is the heat on? Are there food wrappers left all over the place? Is there drug paraphernalia lying around. Are there suspicious looking people hovering around nearby?
Yah, I've noticed all that, especially when I first started hobbying. It was always the roommates fault if it was her in all apartment.
If the place is not clean. Then it can reflect poorly on the provider and makes you wonder about her too.

The first thing that I notice is the location and whether it's in a safe area, then where do I park. Once inside her incall... is it messy or neat/clean?
As long as the hotel or incall is "safe", I don't have a particular preference
particularly smoke free. (And it's possible even for a smoker... because I'm a non-smoker with a sensitive nose YET I used to see a smoker in her residence & there was no odor. I don't know how she did it, except there was never an ashtray there.
