That is been working pretty well for me.

I was corresponding with a newer provider who only had 2 reviews. Both of the reviews had some red flags (both have reviewed many of the same girls who are in different parts of the country or are the only reviewers for certain ladies).  Because of this I was pretty cautious and hesitant about giving my personal info and references. During our email correspondence she gave me her phone # (real one) and told me to text her. Since she was relatively new I told her how this was very risky for her and to use a burner. She said she normally uses a burner but just made a mistake. I explained that i was uncomfortable moving forward after this slip up (what if it had been MY info she got careless with?) and she was offended that I "questioned her integrity".  I made it very clear that I would not share her info and i only pointed out the error so she didnt do it again. Am I the jerk for pointing it out or did I do her a favor?

If you have just been introduced to someone (or met them for the first time), it is not a good idea to point out that they made a mistake. Best to wait until you have established a modicum of trust.

Did you mean well by her? Yes, absolutely. Was your timing awkward? Oh boy, yes.

What did you expect her response to be? She doesn't know you from Adam. She (unfortunately) probably found your remark condescending.

Can't blame you for your good intent.

less than stellar concern for safety.  But that should be the end of it.  She doesn't need any lectures.

Doesn't matter what your tone was, she should have been savvy enough to keep the conversation real friendly.

Sure, you could have gone radio silent with no explanation, but doesn't seem jerky to have given her the reason why you were bailing. At least she knows you weren't just fishing.

Good catch on the possible shill reviews

Two clients ended up getting an email with my real name and home address. Both immediately hit me up to let me know what I'd revealed and I was quite grateful (I'd probably have made the same mistake again had I not been made aware of it). Don't sweat it. It was nice of you to let her know and she's probably just on the defensive after being called out on her blunder.
