I've had three same day cancellations. One said she had a family emergency, one said her civvie life caused it, the third just flaked. I usually book well in advance. In my home city, when I see the ad posted. Usually three weeks ahead when I'm travelling. Recently, I had a Vegas girl cancel the day before due to illness. We had seen each other before and it was a multi hour session, so I don't think she was lying. She also set me up with a girlfriend. Bottom line, you never know for sure if she just got a better gig.

IMO, Cancellations are worse for hobbyists than providers as I feel most
last minute dates do not usually work out.

The last few ladies, I have booked with on tour needed to cancel same day.
I certainly am not insinuating they did not need to! (Shit Happens)

I hobby about once a week, so not seeing ladies this past week due to my date tonight
was well, difficult. LOL! I made it only to get the PM this morning that she needed to leave town early.

I had one lady even tell me she was booked, even though I was booked with her a few days prior?
I suppose a more lucrative date/time.

Perhaps, just unlucky but per-booking too far in advance has not been working out for me.
Has it for you? Do providers get cancelled on more with pre-books?

Your thoughts if any?

You. I honestly can't recall the last time a gal cancelled on me. And this BS about it being worse for the guys than the gals is hogwash IMO. You live in a major metropolitan area, there should be plenty of gals willing to take your money. Try the available now feature on P411. Maybe you're just too hard to please or maybe have gotten a bad rep for some reason?

Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for my Saturday workout.

In my vast ;-) experience, only had one cancellation and the lady kindly suggested an alternate provider.

I don't hobby frequently, probably bc I am a cheap sob, and don't have escalade-level needs.

Never thought it attractive to pick up the phone & dial on a whim. Dunno, just does not appeal to me... Hey, each one to his own.

.....and while in my home city I have only had one cancellation, and (of course)she texted to cancel  as I was driving to her incall. We rescheduled for the following week and all went well.

But when visiting local providers in their home town, I am 0 for 1.
I set up an advance session (a month out) to see a Vegas provider who cancelled on me on that same day with no explanation. Really pissed me off. I firmly believe that she either chickened out or got a better offer and tossed me to the curb. Eff her.

I usually book 3 hr slots with out-of-towners.

So I'm usually the one that other sessions get bumped for.

Sorry.

in 3-4 years.

One was made up to me in a very nice manner; the others were not.

Cancellations that aren't followed with a counter-proposal are, IMHO, a great reason to modify your "bucket list".

Every visit I partake is pre-booked because I arrange my work around my fun and have to travel into the city. I had an early morning cancelled through an agency for a visiting provider because they expected me to reconfirm by 8:00 am even though I had confirmed the evening before. When I called for the hotel location at about 9:00 am for the 10:00 am appointment, I got the we gave your appointment away BS. That's my one bad experience with a dozen or so prebooks. Definitely as bad as it could be as I was pretty stoked to meet this lady.

n Mon I am seeing someone I booked literally a month ago.

or NCNS over the last ten years or so.

In most cases I was able to find someone else to spend the day or night with, so not a big problem.

Booking ahead a week or more makes sense to me

I've only ever had one cancellation, and that was because she blew out her engine on the way to my city. She texted me to tell me that and cancel. Next time she was in town, she "made it up to me". :)

and I have been canceled/rescheduled on 3 times out of my last 7 dates and in all 3 cases I eventually saw the girl. Im pretty laid back and life happens plus im still new so I just rolled with it. They were for the most part or at least as far as I could tell legitimate cancellations(like family issue, girl got in to late the night before and wouldnt be ready in the morning, scheduled wrong day). Only one I really regret rescheduling for earlier in the day because it ended up being a somewhat rushed session. Now the one girl that flaked on me twice ended up being my favorite session to date, absolute true GFE experience.

But yea I prefer prebooking, In my mind it shouldnt be a rushed session if you can plan on and around me being there at a certain time and should be less stressful for all parties. From what I am seeing is that prebook are probably treated better on revisits than initial visits because then they know you are more serious.

only once or twice has a lady cancelled.

i'm not counting ncns, i mean actual cancellation before the date.

usually my pre-book with touring ladies turns out blissful.

how flexible my time for P4P is. Once in a while something frees up my calendar on short notice and then I try to fill the time slot with a lady.

I usually schedule with local ladies rather than out of town ladies. Cancellations (twice) and both for a medical issue, have been non-existent.

It seems to be standard operating procedure. Reason they providers know and think guys will come back. Very few guys will teach a provider a lesson by not re-booking. They come up with all types of the excuses. 99% of the time they are laughing and there is phone is ringing on guys call at the appointment time. I have seen it happen with both high and low end providers. Many will double book or see a guy with a longer appointment time. The ones with a bad reputation are not able to raise their rates.

In the back channel you will hear "Oh not surprised, she does that to me", then in the same sentence they want to re-book her.

I have made it a policy to see someone else the same week and never go back.

...so far, one ncns and one same-day cancellation in four years.  So my experience is not at all similar to the OP's.  Hmmmm.....
