Why would you hide the fact that you like Daryl and John?

They Rock and are Awesome In Concert!

Ladies and gents - let's delve a little into our inner sanctum. Which singer or group do you really like but are a little embarrassed to admit it? Me? I'm not really reluctant to admit to any music I like but most younger folks think Barry Manilow is too elevator music type. He's one of my favorites. I was in high school at his height and getting into girls. The girls loved him then and I used that to my advantage.

Anyone else care to share?

Be still my heart Barry Manilow!!
I saw him in concert years ago in Vegas.
One would feel a bit jealous if they were at the
concert with their SO, as the ladies were swooning!
Little did they know, I believe he played for the "other" team!  ;)
Bebisitos!
Angelina Jones

P.S.  Hall & Oates rules too!  @Historymaker.

I love you Angelina.  You Rock Too!

@Historymaker,

Chris Rea. Anyone likes them besides me?

Long long time ago I got dragged into a Manilow concert, man I was pissed off didn't want to go.  Well after about 10 minutes, maybe 5 (!), I was having the time of my life.  Consummate showman doesn't begin to describe his talent for getting the audience into it and working the room like nobody's bidness.  (Also ran into him at a Ram Dass retreat, pretty cool). You rock BM ( but Mandy still sucks as a song ). I also used to kind of like Wayne Newton a lot.

Hahaha! Your opinion does count but I think Mandy was his best song. Certainly most romantic.

Gawd! I may be showing too much of my true taste in music. Oops!

The Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Village People... I was not a bad dancer back then.

"Disco is NOT dead! Disco is LIFE!" A quote from one of my favorite movies from one of my favorite actors/comedians.

I love love love disco.

A lot of people don't realize how much influence disco has had on current music.

Disco may be dated but, Goldie, you are right as right can be. BUT, you'll have to prove your love for it to me in person. he he

I will show my age with Air Supply and Roxette.

ashamed, I can't even say it, but its not Donnie and Marie, so it could've been worse.

I saw Donnie and Marie in Vegas earlier this year. Like their bubble gum, mom and apple pie shtick or not, but they are great performers and give a great concert. Did anyone know Marie can sing operatic soprano? Yep!

Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam; Kid Creole and the Coconuts; New Edition; Bell Biv Devoe; and other 70s / 80s groups.

...I, too, also occasionally enjoy listening to Copacabana.
That song was also made into a TV movie [which starred Mr. Manilow!] AND Broadway musical.
Hard to believe, hunh?

Songs that I like, but don't go out of my way to tell anyone about:
--One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" reminds me of my Jr. High School crush. Oh, and I use it as the ringtone for my ATF.
--While on the topic of boy bands, I also like "Backstreet's Back" by the Backstreet Boys.
--K-Pop super-group Wonder Girls' "Nobody." I've watched that video countless times cuz of their choreography!
--Culture Club's "Church of the Poison Mind." It's so catchy & has a pseudo-Motown vibe to it.
--I find Aqua's "Barbie Girl" twistedly hilarious!
