I can tell you that I can remove it - unless asked to keep it - never had an issue - Ask her the size - anything bigger than a 12 gage is a door knocker

Have an upcoming appointment with a lady who has some jewerly - pierced clit hood.  Vertical I think. This will be a first for me.  What are some do's and dont's once DATY gets going?  I want to avoid discomfort for her and better yet somehow take advantage of that jewelry and attempt to maximize what she gets out of it.

for her ... Just ask me! I can take it out if it's in your way. Wanna watch? 👅

Don't bite
Don't pull on it.
Just use it as a marker
Lick- don't suck - unless she tells you to
Breath thru your mouth
Don't touch her ass unless you ask first
Don't touch her ass and then touch her kitty
With the same fingers - it matters.
Don't make dumb comments about her piercing
Don't ask why, did it hurt, or if she's gay.
Have fu

All of it depends on anatomy. I have a VCH piercing and while theoretically the bottom ball on the barbell should sit right on top of the clit, it may or may not touch it (certain factors like angle of the body and size of the clit would factor into this). I personally don't like having my clit touched at all. It's super sensitive and almost painful. Some guys like to get right up under the piercing because obviously X marks the spot but that makes me crazy, in a bad way.

So just ask her. I know exactly how I like it touched or not touched and I'm happy to share that info. She probably would be happy to share as well. The most important thing is to not grab it with your teeth and pull. It's not fun.

I'm genuinely curious.  Why did you get a piercing?  Was it just for fun, or did you think it might increase erotic stimulation?  Not being a smartass here.  I'm about as vanilla as they come - no tats and no additions of any kind.  I do find great body art and adornments a real turn on however

I got the piercing simply for the reason that I liked the way it looks. I didn't really think it would change the sensation and I really didn't want it to do that. It's kind of a novelty and most people think it's cool, though some apparently feel weirded out by imagining how much it hurt. It really didn't hurt at all so I find that sentiment a bit strange.

My biggest advice (especially if a person is going to get a piercing in a sensitive area) is to find a certified professional piercer. They have much more expertise than your average piercer at a tattoo parlor. They have to pass a rigorous examination and are well versed in many piercing techniques.

Best to ask her when you're with her. But just don't go barreling in- start gently. I had one for many years, and I preferred tongue action on top of my hood and just back from the edge (towards the body), and the piercing itself did the rest (it was also vertical). Absolutely do not bite, suck, or pull!! Unless she asks you to, of course (who knows- she may be into pain). Be extremely mindful of your teeth.

But damn, those things are a lot of fun!! So enjoy!
