I paid for VIP since day one of me finding this site and diving into the hobby, as it were. I know in theory that I'm building free days via reviews and the one problem report I submitted to get two profiles merged (as it was obviously the same gal). But I'm not sure how to cash those in. I write reviews to help fellows out, not to score free site access. Not to say I won't use it when the time comes and I figure that part out.
To me, the reviews are the primary information I go off of when deciding on a provider. I'm not hung up on looks much at all; to me the service and menu options are the key. If the demographics and menu items are there, confirmed via the reviews, then that's all I really need to know.
Before finding TER I seriously was about to try BP or one of those agencies who send a girl to your hotel room based only from a phone number on a card (I was vising Atlantic City). I really had no idea how else to go about finding a good date, and certainly not able to pick and choose through literally 100s of girls to find those who fit my desires. So TER has been a godsend and I don't regret paying for that one bit.
I write reviews because , well this is a review board. Passing along info to gents that enjoy the company of a lovely lady is something I'm happy to do. I still remember the risk and uncertainties of the pre- TER days. Members that take the effort to do reviews have enhanced my hobbying immensely. So I return the favor.
I do not submit reviews ( or prob reports ) for " free" days.
I purchase 1 year memberships when I begin to run out of days. However since I do believe in contributing to the board by sharing reviews 1 year membership usually comes up around every 14-16 months.
If you are going to engage in this lifestyle I feel like VIP is a must. I've never considered it to be an expense . It is an investment that yields high dividends . Frankly it has been years since I've been ripped off or disappointed.

Or worse if you write a bad review than many providers will not see you. And the provider may get pissy and blacklist you. Sometimes it's just not worth it. You really have to weigh the benefits with the negatives.
Many VIP's just join P411 or DateCheck and use them as a reference for appointments.

I'd recommend VIP if you check in here regularly. I like getting a frame of reference by glancing at a hobbyist poster's hit list. Sometimes what's not on there is more telling, particularly when the missing something from their list seems to be a provider over a 6 or under a 10.

That sh** got old after I realized I could do problem reports whenever I wanted to look something up or read PM's.
After a while, all reviews (except for Lopaw's(??!!?!?!!!?) all sound the same.
The problem report sh** got old after, like, 10 of them got refused. But I finally got one approved and have a new strategy (thanks, [you know who you are]!!)
I don't know how this site makes any $$ after giving out free membership for reviews written AND problem reports submitted...

The text does often get old (and odd when phrases like "she's a keeper" pop up so much.) Maybe that's part of why the female hobbyists' reviews seem more interesting to me: I've always wished to see a solo female client, but it's never happened.
But the numbers, location, and patterns hold my interest when I see convos. What price range do they play in? Do they have a type or is variety the 'type'? I do like when their taste in ladies aligns with mine.
And there's nothing quite like reading those early reviews about oneself. It's the escort equivalent of old yearbook photos. :-0
Since becoming a TER member in 2013 (when I first became aware of it) my batting average is way way up in this hobby. VIP membership has helped me spend my hobby dollars more wisely, so it's a cost I'm more than willing to pay. Getting free membership time for writing reviews is icing on the cake.
....and when I realized that the XXX review section and provider profiles were pretty much useless to me, I stopped paying for VIP. Now I just use either reviews or problem reporting to gain access to read PM's.

I get very tired of the inconsistent & nonsensical rules that TER has.. but then I think of the benefits.. Things I take for granted.. like my favorites list.. I go to that 1st thing every day.. so I end up paying for it.. You can save a lot by paying a full year in advance.. The CC I gave them for the monthly charge was just pulled as it was compromised so my monthly charge won't go through.. so I'm sure that Admin will be in touch with me soon about getting paid..
whether you pay or write reviews. I'd say VIP is a must on this site. As another poster said though, it can have its downside if you write an accurate review, even an above average one, that isn't a 9 or a 10, some providers may try to cause trouble for you. I've only had this happen once but once is enough.
Especialy in being safe with the gal.
However, as far as how the two of you might "connect"---her reviews (VIP or not) are usually not that indicative.
One meeting with her though, will usually decide that. How much does that cost?
A face to face meeting is worth more than a dozen reviews by others you do not even know, let alone have met; LE aside.
I didn't know for quite some time that writing reviews gave you 15 free days, so when I found that out I had a nice little bank of free days to use.
TER VIP has helped me make informed choices in this wonderful part of my life. I sucked badly at picking women IRL, but I'm really very good at in this fantasy life. It also helped me learn the ropes a little when I first started out. An added bonus is that I enjoy reading steamy reviews, it's like reading penthouse letters, I don't even care that some reviews are embellished.
And the free days are now my motivation for continuing my hobby, yeah right, that's my motivation, or could it be the pussy. Hmmm.

i pay quarterly, and use the research available to find new ladies to write reviews for, usually getting another quarter's worth of time by the end of my paid quarter.
whichever way you decide to get vip status, it is totally worth it. access to pm's for back channeling alone is worth the price.
a poor experience. Guys need to learn to read the details in the reviews and not just rely on the provider's profile. Profiles are established by the first reviewer and can change over time. Experienced guys will PM some reviewers if in doubt about a provider's performance.
but I am not in a high volume area so the choices are very very limited for me. I do write a review now and again and enjoy the DB, etc. If I were located in a different area I probably would be VIP.
