There are times especially when giving out service scores where I would like to be able to give just a half point more or less to a score. This happens when I see a girl who I believe to be better than a 8 for example but not quite as good as a others girls I gave 9s to and like in school you always felt better getting a B+ than just a B right?
Would this help out any others in their scoring or am I just complicating things?
For all practical purposes the scale starts at 7, anything below a seven quite frankly might as well just be called "homely". Personally, I wouldn't mind if TER went to a 1-100 scale, which might put a little meaning back into the numerical scores as guys could still suck up by giving scores in the 90's without having to give a ten to every woman who will get naked with them.
Right now this is what the current scoring system means to me.
6 or less, means "too ugly to describe"
7 is "plain"
8 is "doable"
9 is "pretty hot
10 has two meanings, either "really fucking hot" or "I have no balls or taste, or both"
Yes, I think this would be a great step in the right direction.
...this would just give a semblance of precision where it doesn't exist. There is just too much variation to make this meaningful IMHO. Besides, to me the difference between an 8 and a 9 is moot.
This is what I use the reviews for... Are her pictures accurate, recent and a fair representation? And how does she perform BCD? None of which I get from the score.
Now, the scores are helpful in not wasting your time with ladies below a certain threshold.

So many dudes have said this in the past and you are right. Some girls are neither a 7 or an 8 and a 7.5 is the more accurate score or 8.5 from your example.
I have long ago used the scores just as a starting point, to get my interest, then make the decisions on pics, pricing, reading the reviews and bc info.
Would it change the TER world drastically? No, but it would make it a bit more accurate and that is always a good thing.
We scrap everything below nine and simply go to a 9.00-10.00 scale.

I tend to agree. It's Pass/Fail and everything else goes in the details. TER could put many of the menu items in a "selection box" so things don't get missed. For example, "on time?" Yes/No - Why or Why Not ____________

the key is reading the reviews. points are highly subjective. personally i don't like anyone below a 9-10 range, but i'll consider someone with an overall score of 8.75 or thereabouts.
i've noticed that one man's 10 is another man's 7. in fact 7 is the trickiest number to interpret here. to me, 7 is just below acceptable. but a lot of guys rate a girl a 7 and then go on to write a review about how mind blowing her performance was, he highly recommends her, and will see her again.
me, i wouldn't even bother to write a review for a 7, unless she was so bad i wanted to warn someone. but that's why you have to read the reviews and not rely on the scores.
if you're too cheap to buy vip passes to read the reviews, that's your failing and not up to me to help you out. unless you want to help me out by buying me an hour with my atf and her girlfriend.
Scores do matter as there is no way I am going to throw out 500 bones or more per hour for a girl who averages 8s or less no matter how well the review is wriiten. You are right Big P that a lot of guys give out 7 service scores and then write a review that sounds like a 9 or even 10 and I believe they do that mainly because they are either passive aggressive or to much of a puss to say how they really feel.
Grade inflation is so rampant that a typical TER 8 barely makes a six on the GaGa scale.
A TER ten might not always be hot, but a TER six is pretty much guaranteed to be homely.
Performance is a different matter to me. Many women can rock your world, but just because they won't take up the ass, fuck the entire neighborhood, or secretly wish lopaw were in the room with us, are only eligible for an 8 at most. I will confess DFK and BBBJ are rather important to me, but none of the other qualifiers really mean a damn thing to me.

a 100 point system. If you give a lady a 10, does that mean the session was perfect? Unlikely. A lifetime of wonderful sessions has only garnered 2 perfect ones for me. Yet, if the session is a 9.5, or 95 based on a 100 point system, that's much more informative. As it is, if the session is 9.5, or 95, I can't give her a 9, so I have to give her a 10, misleading the clientele into thinking she's perfect. And where is the cutoff point to a 9? Is it strictly mathematical? That's wrong too, because a 9.4, or 94 session is not a 9. It's way better than a 9. Yet, she'd get a the lower score, once again misleading the gentlemen callers.
It's like the old letter grades in school. What's an A? Did you do perfect work? Did you get 100% on every test? Unlikely. I went to a college that gave actual grade points. If you got an A, it might not automatically be a 4.0. It might be a 3.7. Those grades were much more commensurate to the work you did. Adding a .5 capability to the current system, or changing to a 100 point system would give us a much more accurate picture of a lady's performance in this hobby.
Disclaimer. But I do have to say that,while not perfect, the 10 point system is way better than nothing at all. It has saved my butt hundreds of times.
So yeah, you really need to read the reviews, and the hard cutoffs can be misleading. I've noticed some ladies who only get 8s who are true 8s (really hot) in the real world, whilst others with 9s+ look no hotter than the 8-rated lady. Sometimes I think this is due to advertising and pricing.
The real problem is that most hobbyists place so much importance on the numerical score (some of you won't see someone below a certain cutoff, for example), ladies will feel pressured to get higher scores or else lose business, even if they are actually genuinely attractive (7) or really hot(8) and a hot time (7) or go the extra mile (8).
I've seen ladies from what I'd consider 4 to 9.5. There aren't any 10's (appearance) even remotely close to my price range. Not likely in most people reading thisi. Yeah that includes some of you in this thread... 10/10 pftt... Once in a life time, means Once, maybe rare, not every review, you are part of the problem. Yeah I looked at some, solid 8 and 9's.
A 7 is a catch all score. She's better looking then your wife or girlfriend, unlikely that she'd fuck you for free. 8 no chance she'd fuck you for free. 9 she's hot, and she might spit on you for staring at her to much. 10... it's probably 20% of the top 100 and since your wallet has to be thicker then your dick to see her, you won't.
All that being said, I'm just not that picky with looks. Most every provider I've seen is attractive, it's what happens BTS that really matters.

It's important to not just look at a provider's scores, but also the reviewer's scoring tendencies. I went through the top100 reviewers in my area, and counted number of reviews they had written for providers I had also seen. I found numerous reviewers who had 3 or more matches with me, most of whom rated providers consistently higher than I did (or would have). A couple were consistently lower. One, agreed with me precisely on all of our matches. His opinion matters more to me than anybody elses - we're calibrated. It protects me from reviewers who give 7s as 'bad' scores, and 9s for 'good'. Now I just have to figure out how to use his much larger sample size to calibrate the usefulness of other reviewers reviews.
