You are a doll. Better than strawberries!

I kinda do... Which one do you ladies/gents like to use and which ones should I stay the holy hell away from?

This may be a stupid question but questions are how you learn, right? Anyways, I have a lot of clients that want incalls before normal hotel check-in time. How do I even swing that? Do I have to make a reservation online first?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Are you a member of the Provider's Only board here? These kinds of questions are very valid, but it's not a good idea to bandy around specific hotel names on a public forum. (Anyone can read these boards, including LE.)

As for the gents requesting early incall times, say 1:00 or 2:00-- there is only one way to accommodate that... you have to check in the night before AND pay for the night of the appointment as well. (Check-out is almost always noon.)

So you have to eat the cost of 2 days in order to make that happen.

Personally, I don't really think it's fair to ask a provider to do that.. especially if she's getting a room just for one client.

If you're seeing more than one gent, it makes  it a little less painful

but certainly not always... in fact, just recently I had to wait 30 minutes PAST check-in time at a large, nationally known chain.

I would never assume that early check-in is going to happen, and then get a gentleman upset with me because I'm still waiting for a room

Early check in times are a option when you are a member of a hotel chain! During the week and at off season times you can almost always check in by Noon here in Wilmington.

If your client/s request for an a.m. or lunch time appointment.

This is what works for me during the summer where I live for early morning/ afternoon Incall requests: I will call my local establishments mid morning to see if there is a chance for an early arrival, most will proceed through their policy lectures about that, but if they have rooms open, they will give me an ok to come on in.

If I have an advanced or confirmed date, I will book and pay for the room that evening. Return in the morning stress free, and enjoy my date as planned.  If my date is aware that I have made these plans just for him and will be checking out when he leaves, then there is always an extra thoughtful gift for me at the end of our date:-)

If you are outcall friendly, these work well for me during summertime too.

Have a great Summer!!

Mon

.... yeah would need to get a 2 days reservation technically. So...he should definitely compensate for at least that extra day ESPECIALLY if he's like going to be the only person you will be seeing. If none want to do that then I suggest they not try to get an appt that start before 1/1:30pm.

....yeaahhhh got a bit of tired explaining the whole check-in to a hotel process to guys after enough 10am/11am/noon requests especially while touring on my day 1 aka check-in day. :)
Even when local (D.C./NoVA) I don't keep a dedicated hobby incall so I have to get a hotel room for the just like Alice and most knew this if they checked my old site anyways or lol actually read my ads.

If you've got an 11:00 AM appointment that's lets say for 90 minutes to 2 hours, wouldn't it make a lot more sense to arrange a late checkout at say 1:00 PM than to pay for two nights? Almost every major hotel chain will allow this, especially if you have standing as a frequent patron.

If the appointment request is for 1:00 or 2:00, I tell the client ahead of time that there MAY be an issue and I will let him know by 9:00 or 10:00 if there is.  Then early on the morning of the appointment I call the hotel, I tell them that I am a gold or platinum member in their rewards program (which is true -- I'm high ranking in two different hotel chain's rewards programs) and that I have a reservation but I have to check in by 12:00 noon.  And then I ask if it's a problem.  The VAST majority of the time it is not, and they tell me that they will either reserve a certain already available room for me right then, or they will ask housekeeping to clean my room early so that it's done by noon.  If it is going to be a problem and they can't guarantee a room, then I start calling other hotels and say the same thing, except the part about already having a reservation.  This method has worked all but once or twice, and that was when the DNC was in Charlotte.  It really, really helps to be a rewards club member.

If the appointment request is for noon or earlier, then I check in the night before and request late check out, which is also a member benefit with the rewards programs.  This has never been an issue.

I have NEVER booked two nights for one appointment.  And the only time I have required a two hour minimum is if the appointment was in a town that required several hours of travel to get to, AND it was unlikely that I would be able to pick up another appointment in that city, for example, if someone asked me to travel to a small town that doesn't have much activity, or if they wanted me to travel someplace tomorrow and there was not enough time to advertise the visit.

Nicely explained and well stated.

Thanks

I'm one of those guys who is almost always trying for a noontime appointment because that's the only time I can get away. It never occurred to me that a provider would have trouble getting a room at that time of day because it's too late for check out and too early for check in.

I'll keep that in mind in the future. I learned something from the board today.

with my kids. While I want to have a bit of adult fun for myself, the times I can do so are limited by the fact that the things my kids want to do on vacation come first. So, the times I have requested have been tough for providers to accommodate.

I am aware that a morning appointment requires booking the night before and being out before a late checkout, and that as a perhaps sole customer for the day the cost of this can be high for the provider. In this case, I have no problem booking longer dates (prefer them, anyway) and even chipping in for the hotel.

Communication and being straightforward about the costs is key. Just say "I have to book a room special for this, so I need you to chip in 50% of the room" or "Since I need to set up a room special for this date, I need to charge you my outcall rates" or "I need a 2 or 3 hours minimum". It's easy for me to say "yes" or "no" upfront and saves time on the business process... which if drawn out is an attraction killer. The worst thing to do is simply not respond to a request.

Not every guy is cheap, nor are we all assholes.

A huge thanks to Mona for being wonderful about accommodating my schedule... wish I was a local!

I wish you were too!!!  It was my pleasure!!
I am glad you enjoyed your vacation here on the coast.

red roof Cary is nice and easy to find.  La Quinta RTP seems to be a favorite of several ladies.
i would book and pre-pay online and call and ask for early check-in.  some have it, some dont, depends on how full they were night before.  another idea, if you are going to be in raleigh say the 10th thru 12th, book the room and pre-pay for the 9th, the room will be ready whenever you arrive, whether evening of the 9th or morning of the 10th.  if you are a frequent customer and sign up for the hotel's card(I belong to Choice Privledges, they include quality inn, econo-lodge, clarion, card is free), you can also get late check out.
