He was Prince then became the symbol instead of a name which prompted the title "The artist formerly known as Prince" since nobody knew how to pronounce his new "name" which was only a symbol. Oh pop culture, one of your Gods has been snuffed but his impact will live on. He was an original. To be missed for sure.
