....I wonder if these thoughts pass through other gents of my =60 group. One craves, needs, desires to visit his favorite provider on a regular basis. Life isn't always so forgiving. Issues arise, and never the right one I might add. :) Family, life, finances, jobs, etc....seem to arrive at the most inopportune times. My point is, directed to the providers, is this something you understand, ponder, and acknowledge when not hearing from positive hobbyists and cancellations arrive? It's an interesting issue and for those that value their time, a valid one. Thoughts.....???

Honesty is always the best policy, also keeping in contact with your favorite provider, letting her know how things came out and such. We all understand that in these tough times and with so much going on with the family factor.....which tough times has a hand in it, as long as a cancellation occurs and we do not feel as though we were blown off I would forgive the situation as long as the relationship was down to earth, positive and certainly warm life happens and we all know that certain things cannot be helped. Just my two cents... thank you for asking :)

This was a great post!

I think the only thing that really irritates me is a set, confirmed, specific-time appointment that becomes a NCNS.

Expressing interest broadly or a complement and then disappearing [completely or for a while] is absolutely no issue. Expressing interest in a given date [as in, I'll be in town on x day looking for a 2 hour, would you be available?] and then flaking is a bit disappointing but no biggie. Canceling up to like, 24 hours beforehand without an excuse is no problem at all. Canceling (so long as I haven't booked a room or declined another offer) up to 30 min before with an excuse is also understandable.

Life is life.

While I am never happy with a cancellation, if the gentleman calls or emails and lets me know the situation I will try to reschedule or just forgive and forget.  Even more so if I know the gentleman and know that he is not just playing games.  We all have situations that arise from time to time.
