So I had a frustrating situation earlier this week. There was a provider from out of area who first posted her ad on the Maryland ad board about a month ago. I contacted her & she was quick to respond, screened me and told me I was good to go. Set a late night appt for this past Monday (only way our schedules matched up). She told me she was fine with a late appt, she's a night owl anyway. As the date approached we had bad weather coming into the area, so I contacted her to see if she was still coming and she confirmed she was.
So cut to the day of, I sent her a message in the evening a few hours before the scheduled time as I hadn't heard anything from her. I got a message back that she had to leave the area last night and had to cancel. A bit frustrating as I had jumped through hoops in my own personal life to work out a reason for being out as late as we scheduled, holding my limited funds for the hobby for that time, that my schedule for the next few weeks is stacked and I won't have time to meet another provider in the near future, and that I was simply really looking forward to it. Couldn't she have contacted me when she knew instead of waiting until a few hours before? Her website also threatens to blacklist in cancellations or NCNS that don't pay a portion of the donation. She has offered a discount on her next visit to the area, which in multiple months away, but I don't see how I can trust scheduling with her again. Anyway, I know this stuff happens, just the first time it's happened to me. What's the worst experience you've had with a provider flaking out? Have you ever given a provider a second chance? And how'd that go?maybe its not as frustrating to me because i usually dont schedule too far in advance... i also dont see many providers above the mid level range (300-400 an hour), just a personal preference of mine as it pertains to my bank account. it would definitely be frustrating to schedule a visit days or weeks in advance and have the girl flake on me, but you just have to accept the fact that in this industry, unless youre willing to spend thousands on the most professional girl or services, it all comes back to the fact that this industry is really underground and you cant really rely on anyone to do what they say or be a person of their word. if you go into it with that mindset, you may be a little less disappointed. and just think positively, maybe her flaking on you gives you more time to save up for a higher level provider, or more time with another highly reviewed provider on her same tier...

I've had a cancelation when I called from outside the hotel from a very well-known and fairly active provider. So, it can happen no matter who the provider is. It's best to check the boards and reviews to ensure the provider doesn't have a pattern of canceling. Besides emergencies do come up for everyone from time to time.
