do you employ a "site tracker' on your site that lets you know where those that view it are and do you use it to help determine where you tour.

Yes, I see where I my visitors' locations,  but I really only choose destinations by requests.

I get lots of hits from CA and NY but very, very few requests.   Not many hits from MN, but more requests than either of the former.

Just because they go to look at my site, doesn't mean much of anything.  Now, in tracking how many pages are viewed, how far they get..... yes, that can indicate interest from a particular area.  But again, I wait till I've gotten enough requests before planning a trip.  ;-)

I use Google Analytics.

But like Debbie said, site hits don't mean much. I spend a LOT of time looking at other escorts' websites, for example, to see what others are doing and for inspiration. But I'm not a client - not even a potential client. So my hit to their site means nothing.

You also probably won't be getting much out-of-area hits to your site, unless you're advertising on out-of-area websites. Even if I slapped up an ad in Miami, I'd get a lot of site hits, but that doesn't mean there's actual interest for people wanting to book me in that city. They're just checking me out. Just because they go to my site, doesn't mean they're interested. I don't exactly fit the Miami "look", after all. So hits have no bearing on where I decide to tour.

Tons of people also use proxies and IP scramblers, which skew the results of where your hits are coming from, geographically speaking.

I think Google Analytics is useful for seeing where my hits come from (Twitter, Google organic search, TER, other websites), and how long people spend on my site. If it's only a few seconds, what is it that's making them leave so quickly? If they're spending a longer time on my site, that means I'm doing something right.
