One client told me he'd contracted chlamydia, and advised me to get tested, as I'd recently been with him (it's unlikely that he got it from me). But I was never tested for it, I was only given antibiotics as a precautionary measure. The antibiotics are deemed to have no ill side effects, and are prescribed in the case of known exposure.
Other than that, I've personally had no issues.
I've heard things through the provider/client grapevine. But those tidbits are impossible to either verify or deny.
It's doubtful that anybody, either provider or client, with a STI will be forthcoming with the information, as it would make it difficult for them to get future dates...
If it was reported that a provider knowingly provided with an STI, it would be struck down as hearsay...
Best course of action is to decide what level of risk you personally are comfortable assuming, and protect yourself accordingly

Yes, you can get chalymedia or even gonorrhea by receiving oral. The risk is low but the risk is there.
Both diseases can be esaily treated. But there are rare cases that can get very complicated.

Chlamydia is extremely common. The problem is that majory who has it has no symptoms, and majory who has it will eventually heal by itself in the long term even without treatment. Lucky, its a disease that can be esasily treated. Azithromycin 1 g oral once can eliminate this shit in 7 days > 95% of the time.
I remembered there was a survey here at TER regarding STD. Can't remember the exact number, but a significant percentage of people did get STD in this field. The risk is there no matter how careful you are.
Anyone know if it's possible or heard from a friend if it's possible to get an STD from a rimjob?

You can get syphilis, the herpes family, and colds, flu, and the like. It is fairly safe to have a toung up your ass but the exact opposite is true if your giving it.

I get tested every 1/4 because I'm a client. My Dr. Knows what I do but he doesn't lecture me or anything. He's just happy that I'm being responsible. BTW, in 5 years of being active I've NEVER received anything.
I am not surprising that you never got anything because majory (87%) don't. But 13% did get STD from providers based on TER poll.

Are you talking right before or the day of? I brush my teeth in the morning and typically don't see a provider till the afternoon/evening and use mouth wash before and after encounter but don't brush right before.
