Does anyone see providers on major Holidays? Such as Xmas eve/day or Thanksgiving, I've always wonder if the true hobbyist cares about these big days or if it's more of when the mood strikes them....

I have no problem seeing a provider on any holiday. No better way to celebrate a cause or commemorate an event than to have it coupled with the memory of a passionate session. However, I always assumed that it would be much more difficult to find available providers on holidays, especially during Thanksgiving and Xmas.
and have spent a few Christmases and New Years with gals.

I had an appt on Thanksgiving we had dinner at a very nice French restaurant had a great time.
But for the most part during major holidays Thanksgiving and Christmas I am with family.

I'd tip her well for working on a holiday, but I'm single and live alone so most of the holidays are just another day to me. I've always wanted to hobby on NewYear's day or eve (to bring in the year with a bang) maybe 2016 
Question is do providers see clients on those days? I'm single so if someone I wanted to see was available then yes I would.
Living alone makes any day possible.

I spend most holidays out of the country and I almost always spend each major holiday with a chica. I will confess, it's the slowest time of the year in most Latin American countries as they are "family holidays" and most of the chicas don't work those days, but I can usually find one or two to spend some quality time with me.
I am of no religious affiliation, but the Xmas holidays do give me another week and a half of vacation, so I give the impression that I participate (I don't say I participate, as that would make me a hypocrite).
Another benefit, being that I'm a work o Holic this gives me a forced slow time which sorta forces me to take time away, yes I'm sick in the head.
I, along with my Dad, almost burst into flames last Xmas. My step Mom convinced us to accompany her to her church for midnight mass. Oh the things we do for family.
If I am free that holiday and don't have to travel (family lives abroad) what better way than to spend with someone special. Makes the day so much brighter
Last year I cooked for a gentleman friend last Thanksgiving. This Christmas I will spending time with another wonderful gentleman. Depending on the holiday why not
Not Thanksgiving (but Black Friday, YES!!), Christmas (but Boxing Day, SURE!!), or New Years. Those are for family gatherings. But I try to visit a fav provider on Valentine's Day (a.m.) and Halloween ("trick or treat!").
I don't know if that makes me a "true hobbyist" or not... nor do I care.
Christmas and Thanksgiving. I tell the family I am going to my cousin's house lol. The provider is a regular, we do a 2 hour then go back to our respective family's. Sometimes I will go to the gym and swim some laps afterwords.

I saw a very good provider on Labor Day, and it was a lousy session. My best guess is that it was a lousy session because she just came from a large family picnic and had had waaaay too much to eat...oh, well, live and learn. I'll take precautions nest time -- can't even imagine a session after a Thanksgiving feast...
