The problem for the Jets this week is Phillip Rivers is not Carson Palmer...Rivers has a lot of big game experience (including a run to the 2007 AFC Championship game). Palmer's big game inexperience was throwing one pass in the 2005 wildcard game against the Steelers (before getting hurt). So in a game of basically rookie "playoff" QB's, Palmer was awful and Sanchez was flawless. Because of this the Jets advanced.

Convversely, Rivers and the Chargers are a much more dangerous offensive unit. Hence, they will prob. have the ball more than the Bengals did, thereby reducing Sanchez's offensive opportunities. When the Jets do have scoring chances, Sanchez will have to deliver.

I think its asking too much of Sanchez to play to the level he did last week. If he does, the Jets have a great chance to advance. But barring the unforseen (A KO return for a TD or blocked FG or punt), I dont think the Jets have the fire power to stay with the Chargers.

In the other game, unless the Ravens jump out early on the Colts (similar to what the Steelers did to them in 2005; going up 21-3 before winning 21-18), they will have a tough time keeping pace. Once Manning gets going, he can be unstoppable. I like the Colts in this one...I dont see a repeat of the low scoring affair they had during the regular season.
