END OF MESSAGE

Please don't call me.... I am taking the day off! LOL :D

And how nice is that?

A year ago I struggled with... Is this pack of toilet paper going to last through the week?
(I was making $100 a week doing child care.) I would spend days figuring out how to provide for myself, couponing, scouring dollar stores, Good wills..... Offering to keep kids, clean houses, blistering hands & breaking my back,in a truly bone-exhausting way.

Today, I can count the small stack I have, enjoy the memories of this last week or two's very great sessions. Yes, I enjoy them! Above that, I am eternally grateful.

Today my sister brings her new bundle of joy, so I have to clean this house SPOTLESS before she comes so she doesn't have an OCD meltdown, hehe.

But without you fine men, who work hard, and support me... It wouldn't be possible for me to even feel comfortable. I even have a gift for the baby.
Do you know how GOOD that makes me feel?

Incentive to work harder, be better, provide better, be a better woman in general.

For this, I thank you, from the bottom of my solid gold heart.

Other times I don't. :-)
You know I may have cdo.  It's like LCD except the letters are in order like they should be. No offence meant. Just enjoy the day. And the little one.

I came from a very similar situation, and there's nothing like the feeling of sitting down and saying to yourself "Wait, I'm ok? Everything's ok? This is what smooth sailing feels like??"

FoxyNC,
After reading this post, I would have clicked on the above "Like" button 100 times instead just once:)) Glad to know your life has gotten easier---just screen carefully and seek advice from the helpful ladies on this board when you feel the need:)

Being the new kid on the block reading this brings some comfort knowing my struggles will soon end. Great post FoxyNC. I admire you for being humble. :)

Enjoy your day off and the new bundle of JOY!!!

Good for you Miss Foxy!! Puts a different spin on how the outside world views our little community. From things I've heard a lot of ladies turn to this as a last resort to provide for themselves, kids etc... Takes a special person to do what y'all do and not just throw in the towel and give up. Kudos to you for making your own way in life , just be sure when ya can to prepare for an exit one day this won't last forever. Ya seem to have a good head on you're shoulders so ya probally already knew that.

To hear from a provider that's not jaded and bitter.  Good on ya, babe.

Thankyou all for all of the wonderful replies!
^_^
Today was A SPLENDID day! I turned into a whirlwind tazmanian rampaged woman on a cleaning mission, conquering my over run kitchen table, all the litter in the living room, vacuumed, even windexed my glass end tables. Next I gutted the bathroom of any shrapnel on the battlefield, brought in the supply trucks, and  bombed the area with gallons of lemon scented bleachy goodness.... Onto the steam cleaner with my grouting, dismantling the pot & giving the seat a Clorox bath in the tub in scalding hot water. Reassemble, disengage supplies.... Whew!

I even had time to lean back & exhale~
Pour a fresh coffee.
I was glad to see the baby in the 'fam & everyone was happy.

These are the golden days that make life worth living; When "NO NEWS" is good news.

I am grateful & I could not nor would not ever "presume airs."
I guess that's one of my own judgmental issues.
I appreciate genuineness versus artificiality.
Some of this high sadity stuff really pisses me off.
If I were a man, I sure as hell wouldn't go for it, even if I did have Bill Gates money. (My 2Cents)
(And my apologies to any high sadity ladies out there. I know you have your own crowd/clientele & I am sure you can hold your own.)
I prefer to be me, and stay humble.
Maybe I was born & raised too "small town."
I like people in general.
And I don't mind saying, "Thankyou" when it is due.
Often times seems like these day people forget what etiquette or common courtesy is (or common sense, which ironically neither are common.) Sad.
When strangers call me, I do my best to be polite & professional, yet personable. After all, who best represent me, than me? :D
I just wanted to leave a tip of my hat to all the ones who help make the gears turn for me, oil my machine, and any other euphemism you'd like to throw in there! ;)

Now here's the kicker, the day was good, my house is clean, family fed, the sun is setting, and the moon is coming out.... LOL  and I got that itch. #Sigh.

Irony.

What will make it more fantastic is if you take this opportunity to better your life skills. Take advantage of the flexible schedule and extra money to get an associates or bachelor's in a field that is marketable. As good as time as your having in your current vocation, it will end someday for various reasons and you want to position yourself to make more than $100 a week when that happens.
