Simple question.  If you HAD one spot to choose from to lounge around, get a great tan and get wet.  Do you prefer being by a pool, or at the beach?

One of my favorite places to hang out is at the pool bar of the Co Cal Casino in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica. It's just steps from the beach, has two freshwater pools, great eats and drinks, and last but certainly not least, it has around a hundred hookers that work the place on any given day at a price maybe a third of what you would expect to pay in the states. Oh yeah, and it's absolutely legal there, so no worries about LE ruining your fun.

I've only been twice in my lifetime...I loved it! I don't tan so well so just getting wett will have to do!

I look at a pool as a liquid petri dish...yeah I know they add Chlorine and a few other chemicals but it is widely known that fecal coliform can survive that. Anyone that has been to a pool that allows kids with diapers in, well you are swimming in a certain amount of kiddie fecal matter. And even those special waterproof diapers...yeah I am not about to bother risking those

In the Orlando area it's my favorite nudist resort. They have two pools, a hot tub and a big tiki bar with food.

The beaches in NY are great.
But the best is a salt water pool, and drinks in a house without sand in your ass

Megan's bay
Trunk's bay
Balandra's Beach, and of course South Beach, Miami.

To feel the ocean breezes, and hear the sounds of waves rushing ashore, You get to layout in your own open space with no time limits. You get to take long walks along the shore with a view that goes on forever. And of course, there is plenty of eye candy for everyone to take in and secretly taste!! The Beach gets my vote every time.

until they do something about sand blowing all over the place, I'll take the pool over the ocean.

Pool let's you dive in also, and they are usually warmer, at least up here in New England

I just need to hire someone to keep me slathered in sunscreen.

He's quite the character too.  He tells me that he's met you and thinks the world of you.

Dear Rasha;
I'd stowaway anywhere with you, slather for free and even provide your choice of sunscreen. Deal? :>)

I love the beach and have been every month since May. Pools are ok just depends. I hate opening my eyes under water and seeing other people's loose hairs swirling around.  That just grosses me out.

Haulover Beach, FL, forever!  Feeling the breeze on your parts is the best.

I like to stay pale, so the sight of me drowning myself in sunscreen every hour on the hour is a great source of merriment for my fellow beachgoers.

The Sheraton in Hawaii comes to mind.

Only been to Cayman, Jamaica, all over Hawaiian islands and south beach. And of course So. Cal beaches. Take ocean any day.

Most parts of the USA are pretty far from the ocean. Although I prefer a tropical beach on the ocean, a lake will do. And there's some pretty good beaches to be found on lakes, e.g. the famous Hippy Hollow on Lake Travis in Austin.

And NO sharks!
