Women voting for Obama

I saw this on another web site and thought the author made some interesting points.

70% of women voters swooning over more style and no substance again like w/Bill Clinton. I really DON'T want to sound chauvinistic saying that but Rush mentioned the exit polls showed 70% of women voted for this guy. Where were all the angry Hillary voters? They did just what I thought they'd do and come home to their party in the end, leaving a lot of smoke and no fire. Seems far too many people are affected by smooth-talking, good-looking guys w/soaring, "caring" rhetoric and don't turn their brains on to see what's underneath all that fluff. I never understood why women made those choices in High School and thought they grew out of it but all I've seen in my political life during Clinton and especially this election season makes me think there's just something there that makes them choose cool stylish inspiring men over policies that matter to their lives until reality sets in when they or their sig. others lose their jobs from it. Again, I apologize if that sounds harsh but I'm just having issues w/them choosing that over the substance and history Sarah Palin provided them. It's HIGHLY disappointing and a step backward when the women are told to wait again in favor of the "suave, smooth-talking dude at the office" again as Rush has said.

Actually, it is not a gender gap, but a marriage gap.  The division between married and single women is huge in terms of political affiliation.  It is one of the largest gaps in demographics, with a huge number more of single women voting for Democrats and married women voting for GOP.  (Obviously, not exclusively, but a clear demographic trend.)

One theory is that the Nanny State provides the benifits that traditional families provide.  It is true that a lot of single women work, but many do not have the type of retirement savings that married families tend to accumulate.

I don't know the cause, so don't get too mad.  I would be interested in hearing alternate theories.

"I really DON'T want to sound chauvinistic"

Too late.

"Where were all the angry Hillary voters?"

They were in the voting booth expressing their anger at John McCain's transparent bid at their votes by supplying a vagina for them to support. How awkward for the Republicans when women turn out to have brains and use them!

"I never understood why women made those choices in High School"

You mean when they wouldn't date YOU? They insisted on substance even back then?

"I'm just having issues w/them choosing that over the substance and history Sarah Palin provided them."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
OH, I'M LAUGHING SO HARD I'M WEEPING AND MY SIDES ARE ACHING!!!!!!

"as Rush has said"

And that explains everything going on in that pointy little dittohead.

President Barack Hussein Obama. Accept it. McCain lost precisely because he had no substance and because he chose a stewardess instead of a pilot.

"I never understood why women made those choices in High School..."

Awww... someone sounds very bitter.

So are all the men that voted for Obama queers?

And what substance and history did Sarah Palin provide? The chick that can't name all the countries in North America and thinks that Africa is a country is supposed to be a good role model for women? Please.
