Can choose the area code you want, and then choose from a list of available numbers.  Numbers can be selected for just a couple days or up to a year, and you can extend a number if more time is needed.

Can have multiple numbers at once.  Each with their own voicemail, ringtone, alerts, and texts.

Even if not used for the hobby, it's a great tool when you need to sell something and don't want to give out your real number.

Cost is fair for the service.

Tip - when you pick out a phone number to use, run a search on it first so you don't get one with a LOT of publicity attached to it.  That will limit mistaken calls.

Any time you want you can burn the number, so even if you have it reserved for the year, you can drop it before then if some knucklehead won't stop calling you about that porcelain garden gnome you tried to sell on Craigslist four months ago.

Does anyone have experience with disposable phone numbers?  It seems like a good alternative to getting a disposable phone.

So of course you told him how to get a disposable phone.  Which he said he doesn't want.  No wonder perfect storm  answered as he did.
It's as if I asked for a lady with no ink and you sent me info on a girl covered with tattoos.
No wonder perfectstorm thought you didn't read the post.

Some of you forget we can have different opinions on here.

If you, Bill or perfectstorm don't like it.
Well that's too bad.
It was just a different option to think about just in case.

Now that I realize you really are retarded I won't pick on you anymore. That's just mean.

So either you have multiple personalities or the both of you just need attention real bad.

The two last comments sound the same and makes one or both of you suspect.

I will keep posting comments and you can keep sounding like a asshole or assholes.

It's clear I could care less what either one of you think because this is a opinion site.

"I am looking for a large vehicle like an SUV or a truck, but I don't want a van." I guess you would take me straight to your vans. Different opinion, right?

you are in love with the sound of your own voice.  You need to continually post to hear yourself talk.  It doesn't matter to you if your "talk" is relevant or asked for.
So keep it up.
People will keep shitting on you, but that's OK.
It just gives you a chance to keep posting.

Just google "burner apps" and look around for one you like.

Both are easy and free. There are many burner apps for smart phones. Some free, some cost a little. Check your app store or check google as Brasky said. You can get info and reviews on the many different apps.
