I wish you lived in my city. Your post tells me you're exactly the type of lady I look for. I love the ladies who treat their gentlemen callers extra special. I'm so tired of wham bams. Back in the day, a much higher percentage of ladies did what you're doing. You're old school girl. Keep up the good work! Very impressive post.

I’m wondering if I should get out of the mindset of treating my clients the way I would treat a “customer” in a customer service environment.

I’ve had many a customer service based job. I like making people happy. I like saving the day. I like going above and beyond their expectations. Which is probably why when I experience bad customer service I’m ready to karate chop somebody.

Ok, here’s the deal….
I am a low volume escort, so when I am booked I am grateful for so many reasons. Growing up, it was beat into my head that you need to show appreciation when people are good to you. Well, that has stuck with me and I most certainly do.

I offer specials. I have fun raffles. I have meet/greets every once in a while and do face to face verifications. But all I keep hearing is don’t do it. It lessens your value. It’s a bad idea. People will think you are desperate.

Truth is, I like getting to know my clients. I like giving “loyalty” specials. I like face to face verification meetings. I honestly feel like you’re getting Maxine Rewards. LOL! Why are specials so looked down upon? I just don’t get it.

I honestly believe if you look at it like any other business, you’ll get my drift. Eventually, everyone gives specials/discounts etc.. They want the repeat customer to well, repeat.

Do I need to change the way I think and stay strict with my prices and get with the program, or should I stick with my own program and keep things moving right along?

You are obviously loving the way you do things.  And as long as you're getting new clients and keeping your regulars, why on Earth should you change? There are sooooooo many providers out there, good for you for doing things in a totally different way! It makes you unique and, better still, it makes you happy.

Ignore people who think they know better than you do.

I just got totally pumped right there. LOL! Like yeah, that's right, it makes ME happy. Perhaps I had too much vitamin C this morning. But seriously, thank you.

Other hookers jealous of your success, or perhaps worried that they will be compared to you? Or maybe well meaning, but clueless clients who just love to tell a woman how to run their business?

Either way, if it's working for you, keep doing what is not only working for you, but making you happy about what you do as well. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

if doing the opposite worked for George Costanza, it can work for anyone....yo Ann

Girls take a variety of approaches to this business.  If yours is fine for you, don't change a thing.

Because somebody else said to change? Fuck them!
If what you are doing is not working, then it's time to seek out advice and make some changes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

If you are happy, why change that?
I get the quandary. I worked at an agency that routinely ran specials and allowed the girls to run their own in addition. But most girls wouldn't because, whenever anyone had a special, the passive aggression emerged from other providers and clients.  "Things will pick up for you soon."  "A special?  She's so beautiful, I thought she'd be more popular?" And so on. It's not everyone saying these things, but  it's often the voice of dissent that sticks with us.
Really, a lot of the people berating the providers who run modest specials to encourage repeat clients have their own motives, which are seldom aimed at benefitting those providers or their clients. Im not saying specials are good or bad, but rather that you know your priorities, goals, and results of your specials better than anyone else.

Tried and could not see where I could edit the feeling portion.  Regardless, won't repeat error.

Pris in temperament and sack talent.  Rachael seems a bit dull in that department and, unlike Zhora, I don't deal with fake snakes.

...give you the option of replacing it. This isn't a good thing when you want the emoticon but need to edit some other part of the post.

More providers, and business people in general, need this kind of customer service focus.

Or the potential danger of "give 'em an inch, they'll take a mile." But hey, this is (mostly) a free market. There's no governing body or official rules & regulations here - if it works for you, you can handle your business however the fuck you want!

You are smarter than the cable and Satalite companies.
They would not give me what they were offering new customers and as soon as I switched made an even better offer/
That was five years ago/
You seem to understand cost of customer acquisition

You are both very beautiful and obviously very intelligent and you realize the only guaranteed method of being successful in business is to surpass your customer's expectations, give them a great value, and let them know you appreciate them. While your marketing techniques may not conform to the norm, you have to judge the results of your methods. If you are gaining new clients, retaining existing clients, keeping your bills paid, and saving for the future...then your methods are successful. I admire your methods and would be another new client if our paths ever cross.

That was very kind of you to say. Thank you. You made me blush.

Dear Maxine:
This is a very competitive business. With that said,  it is critical that you create a niche for yourself.  Thus all of the things that you are doing are critical and essential to your success.  These are the things that says well why should I see Maxine or what makes Maxine different from any other provider this is something that you could point to.  It also says that you care and that you are cognizant of your clients needs.   This is critical when separating yourself from the crowd.

Never ever listen to advices from your competition. What they are doing is they are trying to bring you down to their levels (or less) when you're obviously doing things right and prospering at their expenses.

Do you really think Coke will ever give well-intentioned advice to Pepsi? McDonalds to Burger King? your business competition is NEVER your friend.

By doing all the right and smart things you were doing (which your competition is unable/unwilling to do) you were enjoying a tremendous competitive advantage.

They were fabulous ideas to buy and ensure the loyalty of your clients. The way successful businesses do in real life.

PS: If you ever want honest, well-intentioned and truly useful ideas do like businesses do and ask the opinions of the clients. It is NO BRAINER that the more you go out of your way to please your clients the more you will be rewarded.

If it is not broke don't fix it.
What I have learned in this business is sometimes people will say one thing and do something else.
Some will look down on you if you run a special(incentive, rebate, whatever you want to call it)
I offer incentives sometimes and really could care less what people think.I do what works best for my business. And you should do what works the best for your business.Who cares what people think? You cannot please everyone if your rate is too low someone will say "Oh your rate is too low why?"if the rate is too high"Oh she thinks she is all that to have that high rate."There is always someone who will add their .02 even if you did not ask for it.Every lady is different on how she works in this business.
I don't know what your rate is or what specials you are offering but if you can take care of yourself on what you are requesting do your own program.

Because there will always be someone who will say they never do specials and then turn around and run one that is not published online.
Not saying every provider does this there are some who never run specials.
The only thing I would warn you about is meeting clients for the first time face to face as screening.
Now if he has given you verification info prior to meeting that is cool and then you meet in public after being verified. But that in person meeting as the screening process no bueno that can go wrong and can be dangerous.
Good luck to you!

Jaydalee-- even as a client I agree with you that face to face screening is not a good idea on many levels.
Not the best and rates right up there with using one's living space as an incall.
That being said I am getting the feeling that this lady is not saying " why don't we meet for a drink and if I like you with a simple LE check we can get it on"
Rather has done some screening and this is step two.

If you are unsure of something and ask for advice, then that's different.

But if others are offering unsolicited advice that you feel is unnecessary and not wanted... don't give it a second thought.

This is often easier said than done, I know.   :-)

In my mind, raffles/discounts are a whole different ballgame than face to face verification. I suppose they both boil down to how you run your business but face to face verification puts you in a bad spot. You are out in the open, negotiating a P4P. Also, just because someone looks nice doesn't mean they are not a psychopath. There are also some guys who like to find out what a provider looks like and then walk out of the meeting, it's a power trip thing. I think it's fine to do nice things for regulars but these guys aren't your clients yet.

Personally, I don't like giving discounts because it tends to get confusing. You have to be explicit about exactly how many days the discount is good for, etc. I offered a discount when I first started out and it was a nightmare. People asking me 10 weeks later if they could still get the discount.

I do like to take care of regulars. Most times, this means longer appointments without an additional donation (OTC time). I have a client who I've seen literally since I started a few years ago on a regular basis and for his birthday I made him dinner and brought him a cupcake. haha

It's important not to conflate 'Customer' with 'Client' level services.

Customers are on their own in terms of asking for services.  You have no obligation to tell a new customer that you are a Greek Goddess if they are too stupid to read your reviews or to ask - especially if you may just not be in the mood to be treated like Justin Bieber that day.... ;)

Client services on the other hand imply an obligation on your part to ensure they know precisely what services you are offering for that round in the sandbox.

When I read reviews that say the princess did not offer a posted service - I read that as her treating him like a Customer.  When it says "she asked me if I wanted to slide my cock in her ass!  Wow!  Hadn't even thought of it!" - that's Client level service.

Oops, lol.  I think you should go with what you enjoy doing, and just explain why you do it.  I think if you put on your site everything you said in your post - that you like getting to know people and having repeat clients (or "building last friendships") then people will understand why you give specials.

I think people say not to do it because maybe it makes you look desperate?  I dunno really.  I give specials because a guy I saw early on said he likes them, and I like him, so there ya go.
