Thank you for that link.  Its surreal.


A children's book by author Mordicai Gerstein was the subject of a short piece on the News Hour with Jim Lehrer.
The reporter interviewed the author of this award winning children's book.

I thought it might be a welcome respite from all the rather heated debate about politics to take a moment to look at something positive and inspiring. To go back in time for a moment and take a look at a whimsical event that occurred at the Twin Towers many years ago.

The author himself admits that it was something of a balancing act on his own part to write such a book given the tragedy that was visited on the Towers on 9/11 but children who have listened to his readings of the book have simply been in awe.
They sit wide eyed in almost rapt disbelief that someone could actually accomplish the feat that this young Frenchman accomplished so many years ago at a more "innocent" time.
