I have never used a female condom. For those of you who have used both, which do you prefer and why? I think the female condom cost more than the male condom.
...and I think it depends on that you're looking for in protection. I've only ever used a female condom because the gentleman I was on a date with requested it for comfort and sensation. Personally I think they're a little more awkward for us ladies to wear, but to each his or her own!
I'm all for the female condoms (FC2's)and yes they do cost more, but they are less restrictive and with the proper amount of lube they are as "close" to bareback as you can get - with a condom. FC2's are non latex and cover more skin than regular, male condoms, so they provide better protection against STI's that come from skin to skin contact.
For doubles, FC2's prevent changing condoms every time you want change partners. I keep a supply of both as there are providers who are scared of FC2's because they have never used them before. I don't demand FC2's, but I do prefer them.
But they feel much more like BBFS They are really good for 3somes. No need to change a condom each time mr happy goes from pussy to pussy
My male condoms are $7 for a three pack. (Obviously I get a 12 lack lol)
But that's about the amount of condoms I use in a date anyway. (If the guy isn't one of the 50% who mainly come for the bj's. Poor guys must never get bj's at home)

Latex free condoms don't have "tiny" as a size, and their "magnum's" aren't much bigger than the regular size. They have two sizes. Regular, and just a tiny bit bigger.
Certain penis shapes and sizes are funny with condoms, and you have to keep your hand down there to make sure it stays in place. Or keep checking.
Erection problems: sometimes when a guy's penis sees a condom, it gets scared lol. A female condom you can have in already, and you can quickly sit on top of them after you get it hard, instead of dealing with the shrinkage factor upon application.
They are also great for doubles. You don't have to keep taking the condom off and switching.

They are much closer to a BB experience than any male condom. Also as previously noted, they are terrific for doubles.
Some people have complained about having to stop the fun to insert it, but you have to stop to put on a male condom, so what's the diff. I agree with previous posters, they do feel more like BBFS, and although I have not used them for a double visit, I can def see the advantage over the standard male condom.

The first was ages ago, just when they first came out. I thought it was great, though it felt a tad cool in there. I think the gal needs to wear it for a minute or two to get them warmed up, or store them in a cup of hot water first.
The second time was a few months ago and it was even better. We did doggy with them, which I wasn't sure you can do, and I had a blast.
The most recent attempt however was a bust because it was the first time for the gal, and she could not figure out how to get the thing to seat properly, so we improvised. Gals should practice with them first before going prime time.
They do cost more, but are worth it. And you can get them for free at Planned Parenthood.

Most condoms don't fit properly because guys are wearing the wrong size; wearing the wrong size increases chances of breakage, leakage, and other problems. FC2 eliminates those issues.
Being a visual guy, FC's really ruin the visual aspect for me. They look like the vagina has a plastic bag hanging out of it. And it obscures the view.
I'll stick to my standard Jimmy's. I like to watch as the lips flex with each thrust. And a FC blocks that view.
