This has all the earmarks of a crank message, but OK, let's be on the cautious side and consider the possibilities.

If you don't already have an arrangement with a lawyer, make one.  That's just simple business sense, independent of this email.

"for organized crime related charges including the spread
of HIV".  Huh?  There's organized crime and there's spreading HIV, but I don't see the connection and I'm not stupid.

Is Eros "connected"?  I have absolutely no reason to think so, but I guess it wouldn't shock me either.  But what's that got to do with you?  They sell ad space.  You paid for an ad for perfectly legal activity.  End of story.

So the FBI is "arresting unlicensed escorts advertised on their site".  Right.  The FBI is handing out citations for conducting an adult business without a city license.  Believe that and...

So all in all I don't think you have anything to worry about.  But, at the risk of repeating myself, having a lawyer handy if needed is probably a good precaution against any business related problem that might arise in the future.

I just got this email today and it is really disturbing? I am going to post it and I was just wondering if anyone can shed some light on it?

Eros Guide is Under Federal Investigation (FBI) and is in The process of
filing charges

against esros for organized crime related charges including the spread
of HIV, the owner and

associated staff of Eros/Darkside Productions is aware of this, yet is
not informing their

customers (Escorts) that in a joint effort the FBI state and local
police in each state are

arresting unlicensed escorts advertised on their site so that they
Eros/Darkside Productions

can collect as much money as possible before they are shut down. If your
an escort please

beware of whats going on.

Eros as he knows his stuff and can offer good advice.

In the meantime, if you use Eros, consider making another website of your own.

I think someone is playing a prank. I remember something about FL trying to shut down sites, but I think it was thrown out because it violated Free Speech Amendments or something similiar to that. Here's a link to more info.Be sure to read the second part as well.

A very good provider friend of mine was contacted by the DOJ asking her to meet with them.  They were investigating eros.

The email my not be completely correct, but it is based in some fact.  They are under investigation by DOJ.

it doesn't matter where you advertise..just screen your clients before meeting. They can't arrest you for advertising on EROS.
