McCain has been vocal in his opposition to torture but when it came to the moment of truth be voted against a bill banning torture for the US military and intelligence agencies.  Just another flip-flop for McCain.

One thing has been clear the past eight years under a republican administration..a philosophy that hates government cannot govern.  McCain will perpetuate the republican inability to govern...just look at the way he has run his campaign.

Under the republicans we've had...

1.  Medicare Part D that has cost the government and taxpayers trillions of dollars since inception and they couldn't even roll that out properly.

2.  Failed federal response to Katrina.  This is what happens when ideologues instead of competent professionals are placed in positions of responsibility.

3.  Iraq....where were the WMDs.  Where was the link to Al-Qaeda...there was none.  We were lied to in order to garner support for a ill-conceived war. American and Iraqi lives were lost needlessly.

4.  Legitimization of torture and the politicization of the Justice department.  Was there ever a bigger idiot than Alberto Gonzalez.

These are just a few examples of the excesses and failures of the republicans.  I personally don't care if our government is big or small.  I want it responsive to the needs of its citizenry.  This doesn't mean solving all our our individual problems but solving the problems that Americans face collectively.

That is the real choice that we're making...competence over incompetence.

Obama....Change We Need!

First point, McCain has been VERY vocal in his opposition to so-called "torture". As McCain said to Obama, if you want to run a campaign against Bush, you should have done so 4 years ago.

Second point, please describe in detail the "failed federal response to Katrina". I would love to debate you on this particular issue, but first you will need to be a little more elaborate in your claims. Do remember to focus specifically on failures at the federal level, as opposed to the local and state level.
