Man, any woman who doesn't want to see me due to one blacklisting is someone I don't want to see. Especially after I give her like 10 references from ladies that know of the peace I bring to any and all encounters. Plus, I don't have too much invested in this hobby. I was bumped due to the very sudden passing of her gramps. I rescheduled around a year later and she remembered the time and place and every detail. The story never changed. Based on reviews (a lapse while she was with family cleaning out the house and such) and her sincerity, I think it was really true.
The dog. He got hit by a car and she had to rush him to the vet. For all the time in the waiting room, she couldn't check her phone or send me a 10 second text about the sudden cancellation. I have reason to believe that dog was faking his injuries.
Her phone worked at T minus 15 minutes as we spoke and confirmed. Somehow, at T minus 5 minutes, the phone rang but got no answer. That continued around 5 times over the next hour. When I finally connected with her booker 2 days later, it seems that she changed phone services at precisely T - minus 10 minutes and forgot to give me the new number. I guess the phone guy screwed up.
Then there was the time I confirmed at T minus 2 hours and showed up downstairs. No answer to my calls. A couple of days later, she said that she had to cancel due to food poisoning and that she was totally zonked out and didn't even hear her phone. I blame that one on Sal; Sal Monella

And I may be many things....but an "average joe" ain't one of them!
One girl got an offer to go to the Bahamas for the weekend. She was up front about it- we had an ongoing date that would have interfered with it. I wished her good luck and god speed - and told her to give me the gory details when I saw her next. We rescheduled. She gave me about three days notice...
On the other hand, I had a last minute opportunity that I wanted to share that a provider had told me she was really interested in. Called her up two days before; she bumped the guy she had been planning to spend a few hours with. I don't think she was up front with him about it.... and I sort of understand why.
I have also had contractors do the same thing...
It doesn't make a difference to me why a girl (or a contractor...) canceled or rescheduled. The real key is how much notice I have. If it's day before - no big deal. If it's the day of.... - she probably won't see me again. Will I get angry about it - No. It's a deal like any other; I don't trade with people who aren't reliable
