And so is McCain.

This is why it's so incredibly dumb for people to be sooooo afraid of the big bad liberal.

It's impossible for a presidential candidate to be nominated who isn't satisfactory to the establishment.

That's exactly why Ralph Nader, a brilliant man who has devoted his adult life to public service, can't get even the slightest hint of being president. Same with Ron Paul who has a very clear platform which would really transform the political process in the US. Same with Bob Barr or John Hagelin, etc.

If you don't have the support of the establishment, you don't have anything.

than likely he will be elected President.  The evidence that demonstrates he is the establishment candidate is by the overwhelming favorable press, money and institutional support Obama receives from the news agencies, late night shows to the fact his sordid past including his school transcripts are sealed and concealed.  For Obama to rise from a relative unknown to the threshold of the Presidency in four years requires a machinery with powerful connections and money. These benefactors are pulling Obama’s strings and will want their returns.

So why does the establishment want Obama elected and the best I can figure is?

(1) Consolidation of Media. There will be further consolidation of various media streams including the Internet. The Fairness Doctrine limiting speech will be enacted during his Administration. Google’s Holy Grail is to control the Internet and information transmission.

(2) Financial Industry. There will be more bailouts and more than likely financial institutions that regulate the industry will become global. For this global regulatory agency to work will need the cooperation of sovereign wealth funds located in the Middle East. Sovereign wealth funds may very well end up owning most of our seaports and fortune 500 companies.

(3) Social Security. Within three months of his inauguration, eligibility age requirements will rise. If you’re turning 62 by February 2009, sign up for social security, NOW.

(4) Immigration. Businesses need cheap labor and the military needs new recruits.

(5) Africa. The biggest competition for mineral and oil resources and new markets will be in the Dark Continent between America and China. Obama can engage with Africa in a way no other first world leader can.

A Democratic President and Congress would be in the best position to succeed in the above goals. For a Republican to change global financing regulations and immigration laws would be met with stiff resistance from conservatives who would never be forgiven. Social Security can be done by a Democratic because the American public perceives them as trustworthy on this subject.

Obama will shut up the liberal left wing of the Democratic Party by either nominating a liberal judge, spreading the wealth from hard working folks to the less deserving or taking away our guns, or by enacting a rinky dinky health care insurance system.

I am hoping and working hard for McCain but even I realize he only has a pocket knife in this gunfight.

more to elict thought as to why Obama is supported by the establishment. Ralph Nader has some good ideas. For example, I like to see sales taxes enacted on these financial bundles of deravities, credit default swaps etc. The people whom Obama has surrounded himself with are part of the same hypocrisy of Wall Street. Robert Rubin for example, has benefited immensely from the repeal of the Glass-Stegall Act. He developed these mortgage securitized bundles while at Citigroup.

I am not so much interested about fearful of the big bad liberal but rather the people who are pulling Obama's strings. We don't know because the powerful will never let their power be known.
