But I always leave the bulk of my $ in the room safe. I do go out with my TLN dates to clubs and carry about 100+ for fun money and drinking. never had a problem with my pocket $ missing in the morning.

If you cannot stay the entire 8 hours you are still responsible for the full $300. This is a great price and the service is not compromised.
I'm planning my first trip and from the reading I've done across various sites I think I rather get a nice room and a more upscale place and get an ag girl, possibly two. The intent is instead of having to go to the clubs and have a short round with a variety of women, I rather just stay mostly in and spend that time with the same girl(s) and have fun throughout the overnight period. My concern is that I've noticed most of the overnight rates are from 10pm to 6 am. So would that really mean staying with them as long as you want to have fun with them and then kicking the girls out once I actually want to sleep? Any input from anyone who has stayed over night would be very much appreciated.
I think the idea is you won't be sleeping much...but even if you want to, overnight dates can be great deals in TJ. You can easily find a girl who will agree to something under $400 for a night. Even if you wanted to kick her out early, at $400, it would still amount to well under $100/hr. Hard to beat that.
Many guys do overnights and do not use the entire night. I would say give your date 30 minutes notices so she can call her taxi to be ready in 30 minutes. It can be frustrating to have the date end early and you are stuck in the cold or in some hotel lobby. 30 minutes notice should be plenty of time.
My normal mo is to have fun with the date until I am just too tired, usually around 2am, then set an alarm for about 4:30 and take a nice nap with her. Then the alarm goes off and the morning round begins.
I always offer to buy breakfast in the morning, and on the rare occasion that they accept I get a free hour since the hotel doesn't start serving until 7am, so either I can sleep a bit later before the morning fun, or extend it.
In a couple of cases the girl has just kept me busy and happy most of the night.
I never make any plans for the next day until after lunch, since after they leave I go back to sleep.

If you book through one of the well known agencies this should not be a problem.
Make sure all your money is secured in the room safe. Since you never pay the girl up front, her payment is also in the safe, so unless you have something crazy valuable for her to steal, she will want her cash more than your clothes and phone.

You should have no problem sleeping with your date on a TLN. In less you book with a wild MILF like: Luz, Jennifer, Angelica, Naomy, Take a vitamin V with those lady's as they will try their best to rock you all night.

I've done a lot of TLN (overnight) dates with escorts. Plus, if you know anything about the boards, you know I am as well qualified as it gets to speak about escorts. (I created the escort forum on the largest TJ hooker board.)
In the US escorts are all too often druggies who steal anything that isn't nailed down. That's not the case in TJ. In TJ escorts are mostly single moms who need to feed a family and want repeat customers. Plus agencies want repeat customers and hence are careful to avoid lots of problems common with US hookers. Same with the hotels.
True story:
I once spend the night at a well know "love motel" with a favorita. She need to leave in the morning earlier than normal so I said good-bye to her from inside the room. The hotel staff detained her and wouldn't let her leave until they called me to see she wasn't leaving with stolen goods.

Cost is only the same if you want a single hour at each end. Overnight dates are the best value for escorts by far.

1700 pesos for 90 minutes = 1133.3 pesos per hour x 8 hours = 9,067 pesos @ 21.5 exchange rate = $422 for 8 hour TLN vs $300 for the overnight specials.
It's certainly a good price if they have a provider you want, they will reliably show up, and especially if you don't like or want the overnight special, but the overnight is still a better value if you like that format.
This guy obviously plans on sleeping at some point. In my scenario, his rate during the time he sleeps is $0. If anyone can go nonstop for 8 hours overnight, more power to ya!
Fair enough, but I personally like the format since I can go on the front end until I'm wiped out, usually in the 3-4 hour range, and then set an alarm and take a 2-3 hour nap, and wake up next to a chica for some nice wakeup fun times, and occasionally extend the date for the cost of a breakfast if they are interested.
I always invite them to stay for breakfast if they want, and sometimes they actually accept! Since my hotel doesn't start serving breakfast until 7am and the dates typically end at 6am, this gives an hour where we need to find something to do to occupy ourselves.. hmmm.. wonder what we could do? 
...and though I've heard stories, I've never personally had anything stolen (my $, kidneys, you name it). As people mentioned, it's customary to pay at the end and as long as you have a safe in the room, it'll be fine (some safes use traditional keys, others like the ones in Hotel Ticuan or Rosarito Beach Hotel (in Rosarito) use a # combination that you create.
I'd personally highly recommend you check out HK and the bar scene in TJ as it's not uncommon to have great chemistry with a BG (especially if you speak Spanish) and for her to sleep with you after her shift ends or sometime later for free. This has happened to me not an infrequent number of times actually. And most Cascadas rooms have safes...
